So glad to see people covering Exceed and Guilty Gear. I think exceed is the greatest representation of a 2D Fighter and one of the best competitive card games.

My friend and i have been getting every exceed expansion and have every character collectively between us. Season 5 6 and 7 are by far my favorite as they are the first to have season exclusive boosts on the basic cards.

I hadn't seen this game before, and it looks sick, fair play. Thanks for featuring it! It's been interesting to watch these board game ports of fighting games evolve over time. I like the look of this system a lot.

It's nice to see the corrections to the mistakes in real time, The logic is quite clear cut once you get used to it, But correcting the stumbles shows that you did account for misunderstandings of the rules.

Man, this game looks sick as hell, but just doesn't seem to be worth over $150 usd once you factor taxes and shipping unless you think you'll use it often

There's actually an excellent TTS mod (search for "Balanced Breakfast" by Tirankin in the Steam workshop), and there's also a browser client currently in development. I'm located somewhere with basically no card game scene, and there's quite a bit of activity on various Discords if you're looking for people to play with!

I am not sure the license would allow it. If it did, it probably would have cost more. Which I'd be okay with, but I do balk at paying over $100 for a physical board game when I don't have a local gaming crew to play with me yet.

They do have a free 2 deck bundle that you can print yourself or pay shipping I believe. Otherwise there is the full game on table top simulator. My friends like playing this one but it wasn't the case when I first bought them. And if you don't mind other series like blazblue or street fighter or undernight inbirth, these have boxes of 4 characters for 30. So technically this one has the best value at 20 decks and the playmat for 130, When it would be 150 for 5 separate boxes and no mat.
