Oh, the things people leave behind, Lol! The previous owners of my condo left behind a singe dice in one of the kitchen cupboards, and a working electric grill. A grill that they didn’t come back for until over three years had passed, then threatened to sue me over it because (while I did hold onto it for them for some time in case they missed it) I no longer had it at that point.

I remember once turning on a galaxy box fan and as soon as it went up to speed, one of the blades flew off causing it to fall over shaking violently.

Yes, Today's fans are made to eventually break (and motors on today's fans can burn up or fail in no time, faulty, fused blue plugs, and parts with flaws and even damage, could become a fire hazard). In fact, I have 4 vintage box fans from the 80s (even earlier, and yet my oldest box fan is a 1950's Lau Blower and Company, which has a FASCO motor) and I also have a lot of other antique/vintage fans (my 1917 Westinghouse whirlwind fan, which had the cord replaced, still works great even its 100 years old), and they work pretty perfect. And them vintage fans have quality construction compared to today's models (what happened to the old days?). They just don't make them like they used to! That's very well for sure! Lasko thinks that the products are made in USA. Well bullcrap, the motors are pure China pride junk. And you can't get a runtime life as good as the vintage fans were in the old days. "Lasko - Innovations in home comfo--whatever! And we want our old days back!". That's exactly what I will say to Lasko due to what they have done to make their products a piece of garbage. And I absolutely will not buy new fans from any retail store, since my vintage ones give me no trouble, whatsoever.

Jaxtube248 yep thats the common problem with todays fans when i was in elementary school 4th grade now i Go to middle school but when I was in 4th grade something like this happend and i had to open it up and take it out with my teacher because she had a screwdriver in hand so we put the guards back on and when we put it on speed 2 it did the same thing as this fan did
