On the subject of Cobras. Picked up a 1983 NOS 29LTD today. Pots where stiff and meter was stuck. After a little spray and adjustment working like new. Big difference from the Chinese junk. Great video!

I never set my swr with my dosy meter or even my radios but the radio is better....i use my mfj 269c great video

Do you calibrate the this with antenna on FM just like you do with AM ? Or is it calibrated the first time for both AM/FM

I'm waiting on you to get more of the 29 Chromes loaded out or the Uniden 78LTX loaded out back in stock.. I don't have SSB on the boxes in my truck, so don't really need that 955 in th ere

Does the swr cal stop working when u have VFO wind up and veritable dead key?

You can still calibrate it just rolling your deadkey up and down generally

It's a surface mount radio. The inside doesn't look like a normal 29.

Same cobra board but 2 little PC boards added, I wish I could send a picture for you to see it. I took pictures of mine to show my friends. I thought the main board was surface mount but through hole components. Hopefully he'll show everyone the insides.
