Plus it's more common than people realize (about 1 in 68 children carry some form of autism, according to a study conducted by the CDC back on April 2016), and it's something that never really goes away and is also not curable to boot. My little cousin is doing pretty well and I'm always trying to help him and being patient with him one thing I definitely learned and I feel like many people may not understand is that you have to treat people who have these kind of issues as you would anyone else because at the end of the day they are people just like us a lot of people instantly assume that you have to treat those people as if there is something really wrong with them and thats not the way to go about it you can actually upset someone with one of those issues by doing that, sure they may require you to have a little more patience but do not treat them as if they are mindless. If you ever want to discuss any of these issues privately just let me know. I can't say I had it as bad as you did but I could still relate to some of the stuff you said about not being able to talk to people or fitting in. When I was a kid I had really bad social anxiety and even till this day I still struggle with it and from time to time I will begin to isolate myself and push people away. This is not an excuse but I do feel that this is the biggest reason that aside from literally one person I don't have any friends in personal life. I've always kind of had an issue of being afraid of getting too close to people out of fear that eventually they will leave me like others in my past have. To be honest this video kind of inspired me in a way because learning that you actually have a legitimate mental disability and you were still able to overcome all of that adversity and be able to communicate to others makes me really look at myself in the mirror and ask myself why I can't overcome my own personal fears and it makes me want to begin to try and make strides towards doing so. Anyways keep doing a good job I'm proud and happy that you were able to share this and overcome a lot of your issues and now you can communicate with people fairly well and share all of your unique interest. Just keep spreading yourself out there of what you can do as a person and you can accomplish all sorts of stuff. I see what you mean about treating autistic people in certain ways too, in a way I can understand what Luke Smith was trying to say now, treat us like normal people, makes sense, but of course you can ignore something that is truly wrong with you. ADHD kind of comes with Asperger's and that had become very apparent with my parents and teachers. Keep on rockin bro and thanks for the kind words!

Depression is my personal demon. It has been lingering around me for years. I remember going on weeks with it. Shutting my self away, saying lots of negative things about myself, wishing I didn't exist., Etc. It is tough for me at times but I am glad I have people in my life who cares about me and help me in my greater time in need

thank you Darkking in helping me to realize again that I'm not alone in this. So many people like you and I carry some form of autism, whether it's immediately noticible or not. I've met and hung out with kids at a young age who also were in a similar situation and I was glad to call them my friends. It's people like you that help me get even closer to you all as like a family or friend and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to share your experiences with me ^^
