IMFAITA (Is my friend group and I the asshole?): Background information - One of my friends had recently been broken up with on text by the guy she had been dating for 2 YEARS when she texted him that she wanted to make the relationship public (even though he had told his guy friends that he wanted the relationship to be public). My other friend had been dating this guy for probably almost a month but the guy acted like he didn't even know her when they were dating. This occurred right after spring break when my friend told us her boyfriend had broken up with her (the second girl I mentioned in the first paragraph). One of my friends started talking shit saying she was being dramatic (even though the girl talking shit had never had a boyfriend and the girl that had gotten broken up with has major depression and anxiety). One of my friends (the first girl I mentioned in the first paragraph) said to the girl talking shit that she wasn't going to tolerate shit talking. One of my other friends defended the girl that shit talk (not because she agreed with her, but because that's the kinda person she is) and basically was the only one she talked to. I didn't realize any of this was happening till lunch and just kinda watched it as it happened. The two girls who had been dumped talked while the other two talked. I just kinda talked to everyone making sure to stay neutral. Eventually everything went back to normal but one day the girl that talked shit stopped talking to everyone (even the girl that defended her) but me. She acted as if everything was ok and asked about my favorite beauty products and stuff like that. The same day she didn't sit with us at lunch and gradually moved nearer to the popular girls. She started flirting with all the guys (nothing is wrong with that but she was flirting with every guy she could get her hands on). Eventually we heard a rumor about her dating this guy who had used to be best friends with the cousin of the first girl mentioned in the first paragraph. This guy had dated the same girl as her cousin and I guess got jealous enough he tried to fight him. We started believing these rumors when his mom and her aunt started hanging out more at school (they both work at our school) and when the baby cousin of the girl that talked shit told us one day that they were dating. And coaches at are school started asking if the girls were still friends when they didn't practice volleyball with each other anymore. But one specific coach had come into the classroom of the mom of the first girl mentioned in the first paragraph and asked about the girl's friendship (the first girl mentioned in the first paragraph and the girl that talked shit). The coach asked if things were alright. Her mom responded saying, "Things could be better." The coach responded saying, "yea, I just can't believe her (the girl that talked shit) family doesn't think she's the issue. Her mother responded saying, "That's what I thought." I don't really know what to do, I kinda lost hope that we will all be friends again but idk, tension is just really high. Any ways is my friend group and I the asshole?

I need help! Basically I was friends with this girl and we were friends for a couple of months and then all of a sudden she started dating boys. She was talking to multiple boys and a such I didn’t Have a problem with it because obviously we’re growing we’re gonna move on whatever she was just not the person I thought she was and we were best friends we got so close and then all of a sudden she started hanging out with this boy that everything was like Not a good person . He slept with an eighth grader he’s 17 he’s done so much stuff and her sister was crying because she didn’t know what to do and she asked me to talk to her being her best friend. Of course I was going to talk to her. Can I gave her advice and said maybe it’s not the best idea, she didn’t care she got mad at me and said that I was just being jealous and stuff even though I have a boyfriend we got mad at each other. I was trying to help her and I explain that multiple times then I just told her it’s your life you can do what you want I want the best for you, but I was just giving you my personal opinion. she didn’t like that very much and got mad at me again and I told her let’s just not be friends and she didn’t care about that either and then after school and then she’s been texting me sending me pictures of us and saying that she just misses us I don’t know what to do because I don’t think she’s the person I thought she was an I don’t know if she’s a good person to be friends with I need help lol
