I think the reason why todays contemporary romance books are going downhill is bcs of the increase of readers from mid 2022 till now. The authors know their books r gonna be read no matter what so they aren’t actually putting effort into their books they’re just writing to write.

@@erenjeager6553 Great point! That reminds me of a video I saw, how social media, competitve reading, and tiktok is turning publishing books into a more of a 'fast fashion' type thing. Publishing houses focus more on books they know will sell well, and currently thats 18+, brainrot- books, leaving quality authors in the lurch.

I love watching these. I will say that I did actually LOVE the inheritance games (The first book is the weakest link but the second one was my favourite, it's called the Hawthorne legacy) and I am currently reading twisted love which is really good, it's entertaining so I'd reccommend it if you want to read it but if you son't have even a tiny liking to forced proximity I'd give it a miss because the intensity of most scenes can (and did) get hard to read.

This is my first video of Eden and it’s refreshing to see some negative reviews on Books even though some of them were ones that I liked. And that’s OK we don’t have to like the same books all the time however, it was great to see her negative reviews because I have to admit they were very entertaining because of the way she would describe the books and say her opinions. This is also positive, and I hope she continues to be her authentic self while reviewing.

Usually, I have to listen to videos on 2x speed because I just can't with them, but girl, you got the 1x treatment. I like your take on things and obviously your voice. I wish you could get a little more specific with the stories and what you didn't like about them as I likely won't ever read most of them (except for maybe your most loved/recommended ones), but I understand you don't wanna spoil any of them for others. For the shatter me series I only ever hear people refer to Ignite me as being the only good book of the series, so if I were to read it, could I read that one on it's own?

No definitely not. I liked the first two but the third one was great because of all the details we got put together and how the story and romance went. I would recommend reading it definitely if you like dystopian.
