Genshin can be so overwhelming sometimes. I totally get you! I don't spend resin almost a month already

My relationship with Genshin is about the same, I take huge breaks and comeback for new archon quests. Star Rail will probably end up the same for me. I love the consistent long term storytelling in these games, something that League/Riot totally lacks. Looking forward to chilling more!

Genshin lore (and the way you highlight it) is definitely a huge reason for why I'm here, and I respect your need for variety. It's inherently a creative role, and maintaining that creative spark is important. Can't say that I will always watch your videos if the topic doesn't interest me, but I hope you get the opportunity to reignight that excitement in the content you create.

I had a little MLP renaissance this year too, I kinda rediscovered why I loved this show so much but couldn't really find anyone else who connected to it the same way I did (a lot of the fan base online moved on from the show after s7-ish) And to think Chill With Aster would become a MLP fan too was not on my 2024 bingo card lol. I remember the first time I saw your channel, I am very interested on your topic in relation to Genshin lore and it made me want to learn more about your perspective of various other medias. Genshin is an incredibly bulky game and as you said, it can be overwhelming due to its expansion and staying with the locomotion of hidden lore in each patch. Catching up with story, events, and side quests while simultaneously interfering with irl stuff is taxing and mentally draining. The most important thing is making sure you enjoy the content you create and the idea of branching out to TV shows you enjoyed is a fascinating and awesome idea! Hearing about your interest in MLP for example reminded me of my high school days when I was learning about their direction of handling different morals and weaving the story to a much larger scale. Content creating or any work you are passionate in must be fun and not a burden. I enjoy seeing your videos and whether it is Genshin-related or not, I always enjoyed your cozy demeanor and understanding your perspective on things. Burn out is not fun and it can impact our drive for the things we enjoy in life. Make sure you take the time to take self-care, realizing we have our limitations and let the wind lead. I was in the similar situation as you a few weeks ago. I got severe burnt out from digging deeper and got into the rabbit hole of hoyoverse games, fandom and drama. Also, I started to feel tired from playing 2 games with farming artifacts/relics. So, I quitted playing HSR completely and only stick with Genshin while trying not to get involve with the fandom and drama too much. (I'm so fed up with Genshin V HSR drama.) RN, I finally have time to catch up with many animes I planned to watch and non-HYV games I planned to play.

Just do what you feel is fun for you!! Focusing on what people want or what "the algorithm" wants will just end up with you feeling burnt out (like you said) and if you keep doing what you want eventually you'll find people that like what you do regardless if its the same thing or not!! Basically just do what you want and eventually you'll find people that appreciate it :D

If the content is good i think the audience will follow, seeng your take on other media, (movies, other games, anime etc.) would be interesting too. Obviously in entertainment, enjoyment takes priority so if you like what you do i believe quality wont suffer. For me at least i clicked for the content and stayed for the personality. If you wont do gentshin as much then ill look forward whatever content you put with the “Aster perspective”

I'm interested in what new media you've grown interested in or old media you decide to reconnect with. It's a good thing to expand your taste and see something new. Personally, I've slowed down my gaming consumption a bit and decided to get more into reading manga and light novels. Just caught up with Witch and the Beast and finished Dungeon Meshi, I recommend both btw. Though the series that's got me hooked had been "A Certain Magical Index" despite the main series getting a subpar anime adaptation, the light novel has been top class imo. Really fascinating lore and characters.

A sensible decision. You are free and can make content on whatever you want, it is your channel, at the end of the day. Do with it whatever you like. You still have made A LOT of Genshin content over the years. People that are only interested in Genshin can watch your previous videos, and the ones you will release about Genshin in the future. They will only be a part of your audience when you do expand to covering other media. I found you because of Genshin, but I stayed for your storytelling and sense of humour. I might not watch each and every one of your videos in the future (not like I watched them all before), but I'll gladly watch the ones on the topics I am interested in. As I have before. i vividly remember discovering your lore videos when you had 12k subscribers, now theres a 9 behind that. from seeing other creators in the past that tried to branch out, it will probably be tough, views will probably be less in the near future, but if you keep going im sure youll find a new niche. im personally hoping we get some genshin content from time to time, but thats just because i love the game and i understand if thats not what you want to do, im also down for a 4 hour analysis of my little pony if thats something you want to do :D

Genshin is one of those videogames that can get you to burnout incredibly fast, especially if one plays for the sake of the content, even more so the great wall of lore. we'll support you on what ventures you may take, just keep your mental health as high as it can be, and prioritize it first over what content your id desires to. superego needs to take charge on this one

Its a great decision to vary. Even as a player I tend to have long ass breaks then grinding inspo for few months to again complete abandonment. But when it is a job to do so and not only that have to actually read up every text that appears in the game sounds crazy. So me personally who enjoys your way of presenting I would love you doing variety from anime lore, new manga chapter reaction (I listen to lots of One Piece manga reviewers) to even simply anime/movie recaps (Would be a change of pace from the usual AI voices....unless u are one too🤣🤣). As for Genshin it could be seasonal like with the players. When the hype is high for new region or when the new archon quests drop that could be the time for a new video. Anyway lastly i conclude what's the point in Chilling with Aster when Aster is not chilling with us🤣🤣

If the topics you find are as interesting and well presented as your genshin videos are. I will check them out. I understand btw, genshin is severely lacking steam ever since post 4.2. It updates so slowly. And it’s predictable now. I’m the last of my group who even play casually. The rest fully moved on. And the lore is too slowly developing to keep attention at this point.
