It would help if it's a Ecoboost due to the oil sludging problem (PCV vapors) - the extra filtering slows down the effects with our oil not to mention the added sump for longer detergent life.. That said - it would be a difficult add due to limited space.

Well it depends on the vehicle. The dual of course replaces the oil filter location but the single you need to find a positive pressure source. Generally we "T" off of the oil pressure sending unit but others on big trucks have a oil galley port accessible via plug. - On the Dodge 5.9 there's a tap above the oil filter which makes it super easy.. Every vehicle is different.. Newer ones unfortunately are next to impossible but vintage vehicles are excellent!

The BMK-23 Universal Remote would be the easiest install. That's remoting the full flow and also has the bypass together. The big question is where to mount it, So you would look for an area that is approximately 5"x9"X9". Some trucks you can fit that under the hood, infront of the radiator, or most on the frame underneath. You get 12 feet of hose to work with so measure from your existing filter to that area you can mount it.

Have you seen the new versions? They are completely different. But there are over 80 different filters and each one is not the same back then even. Spring's vary with the use but the new ones use a totally new module for regulating the pressure, the can's are heavier, threaded area strengthened and reinforced with a new style of stamping. A new grip paint is added and the efficiency has been increased. AMSOIL's whole point toward filters are to continue to modify and advance as the technology beciomes available. because they are independent they actually buy from several companies (the best of each filter company then have another assemble them). But those old videos someone made 10 years ago would have to cut open 12 different amsoil filters to see they are all different as they are made up per the use case. A subaru has different requirements than a old V8 Ford. And some engines do part of the bypass regulation relying on the filter bypass only as secondary.

Are they just as good or good enough or what is the story? So does that mean Amsoil endorses using a Wix filter with Amsoil products? Just more questions. Sorry.

Why would it cause a problem with the Cummins? I have always ran them on my Cummins with no problems

@carybannon5821 - That would be illegal and in violation of the federal Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. A warranty provides consumers specific rights and can't just be voided at the drop of a hat. Read up on the Magnuson Moss Warranty act.

That would greatly restrict oil flow to vital engine parts and cause engine damage.

I prefer to use the stock full flow filter location as it was designed by ford, and plumb in a separate system for the bypass filter
