I'll be getting a full kit for my home, possibly an extra kit to take to events and show off my games

i think its a fair price, plus no more crt issues.

Preordered the deluxe. Very excited. Hope they’re not lying and it’ll have kick harness support for Namco system boards like rival schools, tekken etc, not just cps2.

I have an unrelated question if you don't mind answering. May I politely ask how you shut down your arcade machines when you close your arcade for the day? Do you just flip the breaker switch? Or do you turn off each machine individually? Does flipping a breaker risk damaging the arcade machines? I've always wondered how arcades do it, but surprisingly there's no KZfaq video I could find that talks about stuff like that.

There are a couple of ways it could be done - I use the breakers directly whereas more professional places would have certain circuits tied to something like a light switch. I tried to get the latter done with my electrician but he was lazy and didn't finish the job.

11:02 Exactly what exA-Arcadia needed indeed 😎 Since the Exa platform is both a 4:3 and 16:9 platform, a 4:3 dedicated cartridges unit should be installed in one of those while a fully loaded 16:9 cartridges should be used instead in a Viewlix or an exA-Arcadia upright. This little machine sure is first aimed towards the consumer market but it does look fairly compliant to the needs of small operators as well. Same as you i'd like to see more tests on this machine which are surely going to come up at some point. I like how the base both supports wheels and some sturdy solid feet right next to them.

I honestly would love to see them recreate some American style cabinets with metal construction. Like the Big Red Neo Geos, Dynamo Cabinets, or Capcom's big blue.

It would be nice if it had a drink holder (To put your beer in) and maybe a variant with a 16:9 monitor

If they have a bulk discount I may buy a few for my location…I have a few fighting games that are running in 16:9 and would love to keep them in 4:3
@TheBigExclusive8 ай бұрын
May I ask if you have trouble locating the original cabinets for those fighting games you mentioned? I'd enjoy playing them in their original cabinets. Like Street Fighter in a Big Blue cabinet.

I think 1 or 2 in an arcade would be kinda meh, but if I walked into an arcade and it was dozens of these linked up like in Japan, that would be impressive.

Is there a reason steel is preferred over aluminum for its construction? You mentioned heavy cabinets are a pain to move around (esp if they have no wheels). Is Aluminum too flimsy?
@arcadeheroes_coinop8 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what the exact reason is as I've not been involved with production but it is possible that aluminum scratches easier and has other reasons that keep it from being the choice used, as far as I know.

Too Much going to pass. Price Point should have been $800 for both the bartop and bottom. For the Price they are asking they would need games on it. Especially Arcade games that never got Ported to bring in the sales. I don't get why.. these arcade company's cannot understand. Game Collectors want stuff which was "NOT" Ported.. So they can collect them all. (*hits head on desk*)
@KimSamaVideos8 ай бұрын
Not only that, they should have games that aren't fully emulated on Mame yet, like NeoGeo 64
@psteady67268 ай бұрын
Really? A Chewlix is more than that in the UK. A Viewlix is £1500 but most need stripped down for that. It’s a different hobby but for comparison I couldn’t buy a pinball topper for that price.
@Anonymous254918 ай бұрын
$800 are you an imbecile, you must want every company to go bankrupt. All metal chassis with a $300 monitor already inside. If you are that cheap just stick to arcade 1ups or build it yourself out of mdf.

It’s a full metal cabinet… with a 26 inch screen Sanwa joysticks and buttons… it’s really a great price compared to viewlix or chewlix…
