This is karma baby! They got rid of Mowbray because um, err, um, oh yeah ego. He wasn't playing sexy football. They were 6th for God's sake!! They got rid of a good manager who had the place settled and was realistic in his approach, and now they can't get another one. Well done SAFC.

I keep saying that I'm sick about the coaching situation and I'm not going to listen to any more of them but I can't help but listen anyway. This coaching mess really bothers me because great teams don't have this much of a problem. This has gone on too long! Doesn't any good manager want the Sunderland job? Great video,Michael. I love listening to your level-headed reasoning. Keep updating us on any Sunderland news,mate.

When this video was made... Wilson Isidor. Regis Le Bris Ian Poveda Alan Browne Names we knew nothing about when this video was made... The question is after SAFC 4 Sheff W Zero was not rushing the aquisition of the right coach. the right and patient thing to have done? was 1st of July too late ?? We are all anxious .. But last Sunday 19th August I stood in the line to get to the match with 7 Irish Sunderland supporters who flew over for the game. I am amazed at how many supporters this club has and we are getting stronger as an organization Head of Recruitment - Stuart Harvey Head of Academy - Lewis Dickman Head of Data and Analysis - James Young Head of Medical and Performance - Andrew Young Head of Football Administration and Operations - Sam Ash Jonathan Norris is the head strength and conditioning coach and there are so many more a big payroll

They all need to go simple as, the longer this lot remain in charge the fastest we'll decline cos when u think about it we're already on the decline, on and off the pitch we've been an absolute joke and off it it's getting worse, unless a takeover happens or this lot get lucky with an appointment I really worry for us this season

@@1954crc we finished 6 points above the drop last season, if we lose key players and have another poor window then we will be in relegation dogfight

It appears that Managers/Head Coaches who are reasonably high profile & have had some success don't want to come here presumably due to a lack of control over transfers, restrictions on bringing their own staff and probably the wage offered. In the not too distant past, Sunderland manager/coach was an attractive position & we've had our share of well known names. It would seem now that the only person we could attract is someone who is/has been coaching at a lower level than the Championship & will do the job for peanuts.

Spot on Michael, I think not attracting a new coach is down to “the model” and I’m not just talking about player ages. There will be wage structures that cannot be broken both player and manager. The coach has limited input into incomings, can’t bring in their own team, rumours of Speakman influencing team selection perhaps by contractual agreements with players. When you look at it all holistically it’s like saying would you like to come into Sunderland and have limited say in anything, probably not make the going manager rate for a Championship side, and do the job with your hands tied behind your back? When we had Grayson in the championship wasn’t his salary quoted at something like £2m a year? He wasn’t even that good but we will be paying nowhere near that I bet and that and the above handcuffs is the reason no decent name wants to touch us. Nobody likes working for a dictatorship only to be handed the blame when things go wrong!

Still stand by my point. Replace him with a decent coach we don’t finish anywhere near as low as 16th. But agreed ok on your last point. Hope he gets better.

I will point out in fairness to the club that the Will Still thing did set us back but in that case there should have been a plan in case he didn't come. Should've addressed that in the video. My mistake.

I never watch any International match as I am only a club football liker and the management of this football club is a joke and there is a degree where most of the respective supporters would have enough to be patient to see the mess which the hierarchy have done,good friends!!!

You know things are pretty sh!t when even you are starting to question the hierarchy. I honestly think if it’s not sorted by the time preseason starts, everyone needs to ramp it up to 11 and ask the club some serious questions. I don’t think protests are out of order.

Michael, I know you may disagree but there is no one that wants the job. I won't use the word coach, I want a manager who knows players who he wants not Speakman choices. One thing I will say Tony Mowbray was well liked in the world of football and people don't like how KLD and Speakman treated Tony. That, I think has put candidates off. Also we are now being seen as a joke club, badly run and even worse possible relegation candidates. I also think we need a total clear out KLD and Speakman and the whole coaching team. This season Michael could be horrible.

What’s the point in paying a fee for a manager/coach release when we all know that we will have to pay him a termination fee in a Years time or less . He will follows the same route that over 20 managers have in the last 20yrs kicked out with a potential future management career down the tubes. If any of you were offered a job or promotion to a job where over the previous 20years more than 20people had departed from the position would you confidently take the job or stay where you are. Let’s all waken up and face the reality. We would wait until a safer more secure opportunity came along unless we were desperate

Michael Beales , appointment was a big mistake, we had to pay his compensation, probably not prepared to pay out another managers get out clause. Sartori should also be mentioned with kld if he sacked him? Both very quiet. Not good enough for the two top people.

Michael Beale was not a big mistake. He had to be given a chance or time and was not by the fans. In his tenure we were in 6th place and remember he was not allowed to bring anyone in with him and had to work with Dodds. I am still not sure if Beale walked or was pushed but to put Dodds in charge for the last 13 games was criminal. Might as well have left Beale in charge for the rest of the season, he couldn't have done any worse.

Michael Beale was not a bad appointment. He was not allowed the time by the fans or to bring in any of his own staff and had to work with Dodds. Under Beale's tenure we were 6th in the league after defeating Plymouth. Still not sure whether Beale walked or was sacked but to replace him with Dodds for the last 13 games was a massive mistake.

To be honest, give a manger ten games, he had twelve, and his trai Hume episode was not good, we will never know it he walked or was pushed. It will come out in time.

It's all well and good KLD trying to balance the books, getting a good kit deal and revamping the club shop. But prospective managers must have an understanding how Mowbray was treated, the perpetual lack of a striker and Speakman's insistence that a new manager must employ Dodds and Proctor. KLD and Speakman's hubris is going to be the ruination of this club. Both need to go and an owner who cares about the club and the town needs to be found. Otherwise, what good players we have will leave and we WILL be relegated.😢😢 🔴⚪🔴⚪

News Flas! Birmingham was relegated last season under Mowbray. And is my belief how he stayed on we would've been relegated.

Mowbray signed 8 January 2024, 19 February announced the need for medical treatment forced his temporary withdrawal from the role, assistant, Mark Venus, took charge for a month, and that their former manager Gary Rowett would take charge for the last eight games of the season. Not to mention the mess Rooney made.
