Well Miss Elizabeth…my dad was a pheasant hunter and he would come home with several pheasants most every hunting excursion. I thought that when he laid them up on the table for processing that the colors were just gorgeous. I suppose that coming from a family of 9 children and having to live off the bounty of my Dad and brothers hunting trips I always looked for the beauty before the meal because I HATED the taste of wild game so your picture did not phase me in the least. Rather, it brought back many a memory of yesteryear that left me daydreaming of those days long ago. Sadly, my father is no longer with us but those memories made for a warm feeling about all he did for our well being. Amazing what just one piece of thrifted decor can do for us. Thanks for sharing with us and thanks for the room tour. I truly enjoy your vlogs!!!:):):)

My father also hunted when we were kids and would bring in pheasant for my mom to try and cook! I remember her making these little pheasant pies that were pretty good! The content of the print doesn't bother me at all, I really love it!

Your thrift shop has wonderful stuff. I’m happy you got that bird cage and it looks stunning in the arche where you styled it. I saw so many items as you thrifted I liked. I’m happy the art was still there it was beautiful. I also liked the piece of Jesus.

Hello Elizabeth 👋 I'm so happy that you found that pretty blue wooden bird cage & so glad that you decided to put it on your top shelf because I also loved that cage when I saw where you put it in your home I was very happy you bought it!! Also I wanted to mention that the 1st time I ever saw the blue & white China I was 10yrs old fell in love with the flowral design immediately!! My mother couldn't understand why I loved it so much so she wouldn't buy it for me. But that's OK because after I grew up & married my husband I bought & collected an enough of that beautiful blue & white China to fill up my very own China Hutch!! Bye the way I'm still in love with my China now that I'm a grandmother as I was when I was 10yrs old! So what does this prove!?? LOL 😆 Well I think it proves that the beautiful China I've collected certainly has LONGEVITY!! DON'T YOU!?

So glad you have greens and other colors tucked in here and there as accents❣️* *While perfect in YOUR HOME, for MY HOME, it's too much white FOR ME...I need some color, LOL❣️ My style is more Grand Millennial, and I L💙VE Blue and White Chinoiserie, too. I don't have a lot of it...yet, LOL‼️😊 I have been concentrating on my collection of colored Depression Glassware first. 😉💜🥰* *Your bird cage looks like it was made for that spot under the arch‼️😊 The little birds 🐦🐦 you accented it with are perfect in your vignette. 💙🕊* *I understand why you painted the folding chairs white; they look nice with your table. So happy you didn't paint the pie safe, though; the original finish is GORGEOUS, and since I am an Antique Collector, I like to keep things in their original finish, whenever possible. Using it as Pantry Storage is a great way to organize and corral foodstuffs.* *I come from a family where hunting and fishing to provide food for our family was a way of life, so the artwork with the dead pheasants is beautiful, and not at all offensive to me. I was fortunate to inherit one of my Dad's pheseants that the taxidermist did an absolutely amazing job with; he looks as though he is still alive❣️🤎💛😉🪶🪶🥰🪶🪶*

Grand Melenial and was purchasing blue and white Chinese pieces even up to 40 years now, but only some here and there. Our old Chinese Restaurant that was gere in town for the past 40-42 years sold beautiful pieces directly out of their restaurant and showcased much

Yes, in Canada, here in Ontario, eventhough I donate a lot of household goods, most thrift stores carry 80% clothing. So you guys are very fortunate. I also watch the Vlogs onCrazy Lamp Lady, in Penn. And she does it mostly for resale but the Goodwills are packed with great vintage finds.

you are my favorite you tuber when I see that one of your videos is up and I'm watching another video I instantly click out and click on yours then go back after watching yours you have inspired me so much to decorate my home in my style with out breaking the bank and being able to stay on budget so thank you so very much I also suffer from depression so being able to keep busy is important I'm on the hunt right now thrifting for an inexpensive china hutch or china cabinet to display my holiday dishes and stone wear I started collecting. also trying to find crocks to display my wooden rolling pins I love collecting them to but the crocks have been hard to find in my thrift stores lately. god bless and have a wonderful week

Hi, just found your channel. You’ve given me a lot of inspiration specifically the vintage birdcage with the birds, the little frame with the small clock and the baskets on the hooks. I liked the idea of putting things on stands too. The addition of bible passages is very sweet.

Good day Elizabeth if you were thinking of doing chinoiserie that piece you came across would have been a perfect start because not only was that a decent price it also had a lid so it could be used as storage as well and would have been a good piece for you to put in any room to see if you would like it.

I keep thinking about it, but I haven't decided on which room yet or how much of the style to incorporate. I do really like the aesthetic of it though!

Yea I would get that jar love blue and white I collect a few pieces here and there you don't have to do alot ...just add a piece here and there like I do..

@@oldmaplehome you don't have to do dozens of pieces like some people do. Sometimes just one piece properly placed makes more of a statement then dozens of pieces all grouped or sprinkled around. And lastly if you find you don't like it you can never go wrong placing it in your outdoor decor.
