welcome to another episode of my series on Italian brands. This time I'm going to share my first impression on Gritti, a rising star in the niche world and that got a lot of hype specially because of their cherry fragrance: Duchessa, that is said to be a better performing dupe of our beloved Lost Cherry from Tom Ford.

I like to layer Duchessa with the lost cherry body spray and lost cherry perfume for all day longevity. Duchessa is nice on its own but I find it much deeper and a bit oudy. As for Chantilly, I like to layer it with Rhubarb Eclat from Hermes for a Strawberry Rhubarb pie feel, otherwise Chantilly is very reminiscent of Sunplosion by Simone Andreoli.

Hi Noura! Thanks for doing a house review on Gritti. When I was in Italy I sampled and was given a sample of a new release from Gritti called ‘Florian’ in burgundy velvet bottle with gold cap. It’s more on the masculine side but I loved it. Not at first. Needless to say I drained my sample. Gorgeous! Can’t wait to try Mango Aoud. Your reaction to it really makes me want to sample it 🤍

I love Gritti! My favorite is Tutu Blanc. I also own Chantilly, Siracusa, Rebrode, and Duchessa. Duchessa is probably my favorite cherry fragrance, and I do get good performance from it.

Adele is on my list. I read on Fragrantica its comparable to Kilian Good Girl Gone Bad... What are your sentiments on that?

My favorite from Gritti is Pomelo di Sorrento. The best dupe of Lost cherry in my opinion is Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry.

Bonjour Noura! Mango Aoud is on my wishlist and you just confirmed that I can safely blind buy it if I can get a discount somewhere… 😅😂

I’ve sampled Duchessa and gossip nights and was totally disappointed in both. I thought they both had weak performance and smelled synthetic. I’ll stick with lost cherry. I did recently get Dolce & Gabbana Q intense and thought that was a nice cherry scent.

PSA: DO NOT BLIND BUY MANGO AOUD 🤮 I usually agree with most of your reviews but Mango Aoud was one of more revolting fragrances I’ve smelled in a long time. I love a few of Gritti: Gossip Night, Tutu, Chantilly
