Selena is actually very involved in the brand and committed to small details that are actually new or not done often in the industry She has really taken accessibility to a level that’s not often done in the industry, mainly being aiding people with weak hands or arthritis (which Selena suffers from herself) by the modification of her products. The ball on the top is actually meant to aid people with arthritis in holding the product and the thickness of the liner is meant for better grip. The brushes have a little touch of a diamond hold who reflects the holding of a pencil- also meant to optimise grip minor details like that shows me that the products are very thought out and not just a celebrity cash grab - She also has taken it upon herself to support the community by pledging 10M every year for a decade, which totals to 100M for mental health - the brand is completely vegan and cruelty free - the packaging is eco friendly (As far as my knowledge Selena does have major people in the makeup industry aiding her and investing into it but she also seems highly involved)

I am 63 and I love the Rare beauty products! I have not been able to find either a good color match and or sheer coverage foundation. I watched a number of reviews and the only negative one I saw, the complaint was using it in connection with dryer skin. The influencers did put on a moisturizer but, no oil so I added a skin oil and glided on! Also, I found, like most reviewers discovered, that less is more. I put very little foundation on and it blended and covered beautifully. So don’t be afraid to use it if you are older and/or have dry skin. Add under the foundation and moisturizer a skin oil and, apply sparingly. It can build easily.

everyone saying it’s knocking off fenty - it’s a kendo brand. same parent company. i don’t think that means that care didn’t go into this brand, but i think that explains how they are able to launch with so many products (kendo has $) and why it feels like a similar vibe as fenty. i think they are nuanced tho, personally i’m a bit more in to rare’s vibe than fenty but they’re both appealing.

They both have the same design company but the formula are VERY DIFFERENT- so I don’t really get the comparisons product wise Even with the similarities, simple packaging was not pioneered by Fenty and Rate beauty actually has a very specific goal when creating their packaging. Making the products disabilities friendly by the addition of the ball, allowing those with weak hands if arthritis (which Selena herself has) to access product with ease Ultimately I can see the similarities but there are very clear differences

I heard the tops of the containers are supposed to be easier for people with arthritis since she has Lupus and wanted them accessible. It does seem to follow the Fenty plan with how they started the brand.

She has been getting decent reviews so I need that foundation and ALL those glowy blushes. But waiting for any sale, so we will see. Great blush/ lip trick. Makes the decision to buy easier. I could never figure out why she gets so much hate. My prediction is with this brand she is going to be even richer than she already is. BTW splurged on Ms Mcgrath with that 25% end of summer sale. Got both divine rose palettes.You have to search, because they do not make it easy to find, but there is a bundle on the 2. It was under "new" when I purchased. Not much off but combined with the 25% and Rakuten it tuned out to be an ok price for Pat.

I know that the blushes aren't marketed for lips but I had that same thought about applying it to the lips or as a wash of color on the eyes. It's so interesting how much personal preference can trump ( wish I could think of another word but 🤷🏽‍♀️) "quality". I just watched glamgirlChelsea and she definitely did not like the foundation and was very iffy on the blushes. I was totally gonna pass on this whole line and now I don't know what to do...lol. Great review as per usual Tina! I purchased the blush in Joy, a liquid lipstick in fearless and the highlighter in Flaunt. I’m enjoying all of the products. You now have me interested in the foundation. I’m curious to know how it held up on your skin? Now you have me eyeing the Fenty snap shadow in the Wine shade. Until I saw reviews this brand was not on my list but like you I was interested in the blush, foundation and concealer. I have never seen a liquid blush so pigmented which is what I look for with my skin tone. Everything is absolutely gorgeous and seeing your review I'm definitely sold. OMG Yess to that matte liquid blush for me. Both look amazing on you but because I am naturally dewy, def will get Love. It's funny I literally said 3 weeks ago that I wish Em Cosmetics had a matte blush in addition to their normal formula. Their Color Drops Serum Blush in Sunset Sky is everything on my caramel skin but sometimes I don't always want the extra sheen, especially when I'm going to work. If I could get a wish, I would wish that you could review and compare Em Cosmetics and Rare Beauty liquid blushes. But either way, as always I treasure your super honest opinion. You are a real genna when it comes to makeup and honest and real opinions. Thank you for always keeping it real for us Caribbean beauties 🤗🤗😁😁.

Made in Canada hey 👋 damn now I feel compelled to buy the foundation lol. I'll have to look into the concealer. I bought a blush and lipstick. I got the grateful because my skin is darker. I knew it was love at first sight. Can't wait to try them. Selena did a great job with her brand.

I'm not sure if you watch the Beauty News girls (I personally love them) but I agree with their assessment of Rare Beauty. The packaging does look a lot like Fenty's and for them to launch as many products so quickly definitely makes me think of some kind of tycoon seeing what is making money and just chose Selena as the face it. Not really about this brand being by brain child at all. The Fenty palette looks great. I need more mauve, burgundy and purples like I need another hole on my head (because those are my colours) but I might still get it :)
