It has been very hard to get freight OUT of Florida for many years. I live about 1.5 hours north of Port St.Lucie (pronounced like Lucy) I work privately with handicap mobility equipment including scooters, power wheelchairs and electric lifts and get the nicest equipment out of "PSL" as we call it. My only connection is my dispatcher. I have no other connections. When I first started with new authority I was turned down by many brokers but there are plenty that will work with you too. Yes I got turned down by many brokers but a lot were willing to work with me too. I was doing $5k average per week my first 6 months.
