“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take along any extra oil, but the wise ones took oil in flasks along with their lamps. When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘BEHOLD the Bridegroom cometh! Come out to meet him!’" - Matthew 25:1-6
Do not be asleep in this hour. The King will return in the blink of an eye when you least expect Him to.
Be wise, seek the King.
Surrender your pride, your ego, your bitterness, your un-forgiveness, your anger, YOUR SIN, your rights. The King is worthy, is He not!?
One day soon, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ, yes Jesus Christ, is the Lord, to the glory of God the Father. He will draw His friends near to be with Him forever in paradise.
To the follower of Christ, it is time for inward inventory. Inspect His garden (your soul, your mind, your will, your emotions, your thoughts, YOUR LIFE), and if you find any wicked thing in you, any evil characteristics within your personality, surrender them to the King. He desires intimacy with you. Let nothing spoil your ability to love Him, and to receive His love, and to share it with those near to you.
To the unbeliever, repent of your sin before it is too late. Turn from your wicked ways and He will embrace you and make you clean. He died on the cross for YOU, and would have done so if it were just for you alone. No one is perfect, no not one. All of us (including us redeemed followers of Jesus) were covered in the filth of sin, but we heard His call to turn from our sins and unto Him. We heard His call to leave the "pig's pen" and come home. All of us are prodigal sons, some respond to the call and come back home, while some others choose to stay with the pigs, always searching for satisfaction but never TRULY finding it.
Sin does satisfy, but only for a moment, and then the moment is past. Jesus fills the emptiness COMPLETELY that you've been trying to fill with sin. You won't truly be satisfied until you know the One who made you, the One who knew you before you were even you!
Be wise, repent, turn from your sins and seek Jesus. He stands with nail scarred wrists (a constant reminder of the great extent of His love for you), and arms fully extended, open, ready, willing, waiting, to have you as His own prized possession.
There is no pit He can't rescue from!
There is no pain, no sorrow that He cannot heal!
There is no broken heart He cannot mend!
There is no sin that He cannot blot out!
Be wise...COME HOME.
