Sad and happy because they’ve all come so far and to see Jason in another band playing still warms my heart. If I’m the devil is hands down one of my favorite albums from ll. A beautiful work of art with such power behind it. Thank you all for such an incredible experience.

if there'd be more people with his way of thinking about...(everything) this world would be much better place for sure.. I'm from Europe and simple by listening to him I have this awkward feeling that I could just buy a ticket , fly to America , see the letlive live , jump on the stage and say to him ,, you're just unfuckinbelivebly incredible guy and I wish that millions of people could see you and hear you and feel exactly the same as I am while listening to you.." Amazing person..

I didn't think I could appreciate and love this album and the band anymore, but this documentary has proven me wrong, not many bands would go this far and put so much effort to really give the fans something they can love and appreciate, films like these inspire me to strive for my goals as a filmmaker and hope I can make something as good as this. Lots of love guys keep it up

the power that is behind this keeps me going. with the lyrics that are more personal experiences as an epiphany to show self hate explain that you wear nothing but a mask not know who the fuck you are not understanding life but more self hate then anything more then no love . and challenging everything to feeling alive ,as are is slightly killing you mentaly and keep pushing just to find out what if i am the devil with no exorcism like fuck all the shit this guy dose Jason Aalon Butler inspires me to live as everything is real its not pushed to just be music . its music that turns into life with motive with every band member having a say . Soul Pux for life

I feel like I relate to Jason Aaron Butler on so many levels. A year ago, ever since I abandoned my religious beliefs, I delved into soo many different ideologies such as Anarchism, Communism, Feminism, Absurdism, and Egalitarianism just to find a sense of belonging. It was a huge emotional rollercoaster because I always felt like I never fit the entire criteria of the beliefs im supposed to follow in general and I never wanted to go back to any other religious institution ever again. I tried to hang out with the feminist club in college because they seemed really nice and accepting, but I left because they turned out to be annoying PC cultured SJWs who get offended over anything and would call out sexism/racism in the wrong places. So I decided to hang out with the ANTI SJW crowd and would subscribe to people like Paul Joseph Watson or Milo Yiannopolous. But later on, I learned that the people in the ANTI SJW crowd were just a bunch of discriminitive assholes who want to disregard REAL social issues that ARE going on like police brutality or the recent sexual assault cases these days (as a side note, many of them are Trump supporters). I have also grown to think that love may never exist to me because Im just an indecisive person to people who no one would date. I just despise extremism, which is something that could be applied to any religion, ideology, or political viewpoint. And that is what turned me off of all those beliefs that I mentioned above and top that with everyone being full of shit. Jason Aaron Butler helped remind of one thing: its okay to be an independent thinker and be proud of it. And even though I have come to terms of being alone for the rest of my life, but I still hope inside and Im okay with that. Thank you letlive, for making possibly my Album of the Year

Brother, the way you articulate your vulnerabilities and emotions/feelings, and really own those and persevere through those through your art is such a beautiful thing. As an artist myself, I always wish that I was able to articulate as deeply as you have the things that are holding me back, if you will. I’ve wanted so deeply to strip myself bare and show the world who, what, and WHY I am. I’ve watched this film many times, and every time, it gives me chills in the best way possible. Thank you so much for sharing this and being so transparent and vulnerable 🤘🏻 much love from Denver -Patrick

This video really shows that there was a creative rift between everyone that couldn't be sewn. I feel like you can hear it on the album. The way many of them feel shame over their past records, it just adds a lot of context to the break-up imo. I enjoyed a lot of if im the devil... but its not my favorite by letlive. I hope that music with screaming will one day graduate from the children's table.

I guess the documentary's cool and all, but I find this album to be their weakest on to date. Where are his crazy, intense screams and psychopathic yelling that makes it Letlive?! What's with this new sound?
@chosenxone78 жыл бұрын
They literally described all of this in the documentary. Did you even watch it? They wanted an album that would reach out and expand far beyond where they've already peaked.
@jarlballinswagg17108 жыл бұрын
+Aidan C not evolution, regression to a more generic and "acceptable" style of music. Bands don't "evolve" when they stop screaming, they don't "progress" they regress into a more socially acceptable form of music that is used to attract a wider audience. It's basic math, more people dislike screaming then those who enjoy it and of those people who enjoy it there are those who like singing as well, that's why they did it, to sell out. It's plain and simple. RIP ll.
@chosenxone78 жыл бұрын

This album is a perfect example of a band turning their back on their true fans to reach a bigger demographic. This absolutely makes me sick, especially since the band knew they were doing it. I pray to every god there is that they remember what letlive. is because this album is a disgrace to the people who have supported them.
@TheRyanMackfall8 жыл бұрын
no homie, the only disgrace here is you to think that music is made solely 'for fans'. I don't normally comment on these things but this clearly requires it as I'm the guy who has made this film and many others for many bands. Music is made for an artist, and fans subscribe to that based on a connection. The musicians bare their soul, their view points and their political understandings of the universe. Having taken the time to travel with these guys and listen to what they have to say I can tell you that not 1% of anything they do is for anyone but themselves and their growth as incredible humans. I've known them for a long time. Your comment suggests you ultimately know nothing of them nor their fans. I suggest you rethink your approach to music in general, because music is a self expression. Ironically what you're suggesting they've done is what you want them to do for you. Sort yourself out and stop leaving comments like this trying to stir some sort of false revolution. It's super ugly, and not very inspiring.
@jarlballinswagg17108 жыл бұрын
+TheRyanMackfall no, I won't. I refuse to change my ideals and beliefs to fit what is "acceptable" because someone else tells me to do so. This band meant a lot to me, shit still do I guess and that's why I'm so pissed about this album. Every single heavy band that waters down their sound like this says roughly the same thing and it's all bullshit. If you don't want to play heavy music anymore then retire the band, go make a new band that plays a different style music with the same members and a different name. Don't tarnish the sanctity of something as beautiful as ll. by ignoring, starving and forsaking your true fans. So before you go subjecting myself to your biased and foolish opinion consider what impact this album has had on the people who have been to their shows, been in their pits, screaming till they lost their voice. It's not what we want and we want ll. To know it.
@peterbeveridge918 жыл бұрын
"It's not what we want and we want ll. To know it." Speak for yourself, not on behalf of others. Long time fan and I'm totally stoked on the new stuff.
@jarlballinswagg17108 жыл бұрын
+Pete Beveridge then you should have an issue with it too. When bands go soft, 90 percent of the time they stay soft. What if we never hear heavy ll. again? That would truly be disastrous and most true fans would hate that. Is it worth becoming a bigger band of you forsake those who got you where you are, those who came to your shows and bought your merch, yelled and got bones broken in your pit, bled and sweat beside you, singing the words to all your songs? I I don't think so.
