Philipsen is a honest sprinter WTF are you saying? Why they didn't disqualified Girmay ? Thats the question, he goes to the right and cuts the path of Ackerman , much more wrong then what Philipsen has done few days before. Its horrible that people blame always the same guy while so many other sprinters are less fair then he is

What about that intermediate sprint? He "closed the door for Girmay".

When girmay started the sprint at the end of the race he was being blocked and even shouldered by a rider

van der poel delivers phillipsen him around the middle white stripe, phillipsen does most of his sprint next to the right barrier, but first he swerves to the right. After he has accelerated THEN he goes in a straight line. I would say he should work a bit more on his line. There is always a dirty sprinter or two, that's cycling, but since he gets so much focus, it's intersting. Personally I am not an expert. But it annoys me when you can scare others from giving their 100%. I wonder if that happened here?

UCI like easy penalisations like a buy who wants to hug his kid. Can they show us some backbone?

the "maillot à poids" has generaly 2 battles, one on the first half of the race, with limited points to be honest (here, Abrahamsen goes on all the breakaway, it is a huge effort, to gain a few points every stage). When we enter the Pyrenees and the Alps, with big stages (not like the one with the Galibie, with only 1 climb), with 3-4 climbs of 1st category or more, there is generaly up to 60 points per day to get, so if you want to jersey in Paris, you have to be in the breakaway in the Pyrenees or the Alps, not in the breakaway of flat stages with 1 or 2 points to get. Every Tour de France, there is a person that have the jersey for the first week and half, and then the "real" battle begins.

Don't underestimate Remco ;) He obviously had good legs, not sure Pogacar would have dropped him and even if he did, his goal was to secure the podium. The 3 of them alone would have been risky but Remco had no teammates anyway so trying to isolate Pogacar and Vingegaard from their teammates wasn't a bad move imo.

@@marieke3522 that is the difference - of course Remco would like to win the TdF, but every place on the podium would be a success for him; Vingegaard is not interested in a podium spot - having won 2 times already for him it's all about yellow, and he races very smart. If Pogacar and Remco keep attacking every stage multiple times they both may have a bad day, and then Vingegaard very likely will win

He's just really aggressive and has made some questionable decisions in previous sprints (like the one against Wout van Aert in 2023). I personally like Jasper.

He throws everyone into barriers and is quite arrogant from what I've heard
