The best thing I know for the patina is linseed oil . I know you are concerned about it attracting dust n dirt but you can really wipe this off after letting it soak in for a while . It's about the best thing I found

My twin brother and I had our dad help in making a buggy with a cutdown model A frame, a Packard hood, 4 10 inch wheels and tires and a 28 hp Wisconsin engine . Boy that was fun . Thanks for bringing that memory back to me, as my brother and dad have both past on making projects in heaven .

I would have made the front axle a little bit narrower for more of a 23 t-bucket look.

when i built ratbicycles or working with vintage bicycles i use just boiled linseed oil or linseed oil with mineral spirit depending on what finnish i going for

Get with vise grip guy he uses I think linseed oil. I’m not sure but it works and lucky costa rubs his cars with some kind of oil

I cant vouch for how it would work but id look at either silicone or ceramic based coatings. Potentially even wax but i feel like wax would trap moisture where ceramic and silicone repel moisture and dirt.

Have you heard of mustie1 on KZfaq? He uses toilet rings melted down and rubbed onto his vw truck named crusty. It preserved the patina and sealed it from rusting anymore

This isnt an amazon build, most guys that would order from Amazon are on a budget , which means they are not going to have any of the tools or means to the modifications you're making. Thumbs down 👎 at that part. Which is your entire title base. Otherwise its nice work.
