It was great. I loved flying the Airbus, especially the 340 and the 350. 🙂

My guess would be either a height restriction on take off or because this is an A340-300, they are famous for being under powered, especially when fully loaded.

@@ewanhamilton56That's a possibility, and maybe they first want to pick up some speed to make that rather sharp right turn directly after take off ....

A 4 engined plane only have to consider 25% thrust loss in case of engine failure, so it can take much more load than a 2-engined plane. So we are very heavy! 😅

On the autopilot panel between the ALT knob and V/S or FPA knob, there's a button called 'Metric Alt' so that will addon the metric altitude to the feet reading on the Primary Flight Display (PFD) and also change the the altitude reading on the autopilot panel to metric altitude I believe. If you look at 3:03 at the 1st screen to the left (the PFD), at the bottom right of that screen you'll see some numbers in a box, that's the metric altitude reading.

Exactly. 👍🏼😊 When flying in RVSM area, the metric altitude also must be crosschecked on a chart.

Thank you! Company policy in SAS to flex as much as possible to save engine life. Unless flex is prohibited, for example when runway is contaminated.

Yes, there is a button. If you press it the altitude is displayed in meters. However in RVSM you have to crosscheck the altimeter ft reading with a chart.
