Thanks for the entertaining videos! I play UTH quite a bit. I don’t play the Trips anymore. Am definitely not as far down as I would be otherwise. I figure the Blind will pay you for big hands. The Trips is a constant slow drain, especially with the Payout table for them. They did it well…you’ll likely get a Trips-Flush at least one, so will feel good when it hits, but you loose far more often. You get used to playing without Trips (to make money on this game, you make it on the Play button in my opinion). Maybe try a session with more on the Ante/Blind and No Trips - count how many hands you win Trips versus how many total hands you play. Have fun!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who runs into this. There are days were your winning hand after hand and other days where I win diddly and squat.

Does MSC allow 2 hands? If so, try when 2nd hand is too hot

First hand there were 19 outs 4 aces, 4 Kings, 4 queens, 3 Jacks, 2 Tens and 2 threes. If you play, and one of the 19 outs are there, you loose 175 There are 26 outs for a split ( 52 - 19 that you loose, - 5 flop - 2 for your cards = 26 outs. ) on those, you loose 25. So by playing your EV is -$88.33 Since if you fold you straight loose 125, it’s still a play, but you had way more outs to loose.

From a friend who is a long time casino manager, the trips are known as a dummy bet for players. I look at it as a fun gamble

You have to bet the trips. It gives you a chance to make more money. I always bet at least 1/2 of the ante for the trips

Probability of hitting Trips is 1/15, so it’s wiser to bet less than what you’re betting on the Ante. For example, betting $50 on Ante and $25 on Trips is profitable than betting $50 on both Ante and Trips.

I only play trips if I am running hot and up money. Then when I do, it is a smaller amount than the main bets. If the main is $25 & $25 then only $5 on the trips. I often see you have a "winning" hand but only breaking even because you lost the trips. But you would be up $20 if you only bet $5 on the trips. Keep in mind, the main bet is basically 50/50.... You get 7 cards and the dealer gets 7 cards. The player folding is a house advantage and The "blind" bet is the biggest advantage the house has in this game because the "blind" only gets paid on premium Hands....so technically the "blind" is a forced side bet. Why volunteer to pay another side bet? Funny thing is people always follow WizardOfOdds play strategy but WizardofOdds also says "NEVER play the side bets" and people never follow that advice.....except for your dad🤣.

I play the trips, but small. If you get a trips bet winner once every 10 hands, you’re losing money even if you get a full house. It makes the game more fun, but is very costly if you’re betting it at a high amount.

You mentioned that on a hand with 2 pair + a jack on the board that there are 12 cards out that could beat it, so you played the board, and lost. If you are going to count cards, please do it correctly. There were also 4 cards that the dealer could have to make a full house as well as 9 possible pocket pairs that would beat the low pair on the board, so the odds were significantly worse that you thought. Doesn't mean you shouldn't bet the board, you just need to know the true odds to decide if it's worthwhile.

this is so tough to watch...as you said, there is only 1 table of UTH on MSC cruise? that would be an issue......

Just followed your betting strategy to take home 1,500 on my virgin voyages cruise. I think the only thing I didn't do was play kings pre flop a few times that you would have. Your videos about 3 card poker also made my decision easy to avoid that game altogether 😂

I would say that the trips bet is as optional as the Dream Pair is on blackjack. You should play both consistently.

I’ll play the trips if I feel I’m hitting cards but it is just most side bets, another advantage for casino. Although the game is fun, it’s definitely a high edge for casino.

Final your sesion looked bad as mine are usually, mostly low cards with no oportunity to 4X, ( i feel better now😂) And first hand was 18 outs, but i would play it as you did, anyway...

You 100% play the trips. Even if it's $5. JUST LIKE (Brandon) you *always* should be playing the main side-bet on blackjack. You will most likely break even or come close to it on those side-bets AND it gives you a chance to a big hit. If you're not willing to risk losing a little for the chance at a big hit why are you even gambling?

I almost had Royal Flush for the Mega Jackpot bonus for 4 days ago in Vegas I got perfect hand I have Ace Spaces and King Spaces And then there was Queen Spaces Jack Spaces but it was Queen Club man that was really good hand and somebody got 10 spaces before me I was so sad to get that Mega Jackpot
