In an early interview (in her twenty) she said that writing in english comes more natural for her, and for me her best songs are the ones write in eng (especially the first album with this song and Lotus, a real masterpiece) but rumors said that her music labels ask her to write in italian because was more easy to sell.. and after she win sanremo with the song Luce she almost switched to the italian lyrics more and more. She also said that her most music influence and icons was Bjork and in the first two album you can recognize it :)

If you like dance music I recommend her, she has a wonderful voice. I recommend the songs "Don't you know", "You Need Love", "We Is The Power", "Egoista".

Hello. Elisa (Toffoli) left two slightly different versions of why she sang in English (although she has often alternated between Italian and English in recent years). She's a huge fan of the Cranberries in the first place, and of course the other 90s' female pop stars. Same style, no outfits, no bullshit only art and voice. Laura is singin an italian song but in spanish, for some reason, in Milano.

Elisa discography since 1996 is 80% in english! The Madonna song is "La Isla bonita" written, produced and sung by Madonna herself, so it's not a cover, and it's one of the most successful worldwide hits in History

As far as I know Elisa started her career singing only in english, but she won the Sanremo song competition in 2001 singing in Italian. Since then she alternates english and Italian songs (may be more italian than english in the last years). Laura Pausini is nowdays a sort of celebrity in spanish speaking countries, may be also more than in Italy, where she is however beloved from people. Got a small problem with watching live performances: usually they let the crowd sing the main part of the chorus, which is cool for the audience but sucks if you're hearing the song for the first time 😂 To answer, if I could erase one memory I would choose something very embarrassing that happened to me, of course. I'm most likely the only one who still remembers it, might as well make those moments die for me too 🤣
