LETS MOW THE LAWN 2020

This is the first mow of the season for me. It feels good to be back in the lawn and mowing. I really do love to be in the lawn and to tend to the grass. The lookie lous are also back in full force. All that it takes is some good weather for them.

I have the mower. What you are describing about the gears grinding is not the dust cover, it’s the bushings that are inside the wheel support. The only way to fix that in my experience is by replacing the wheel supports. Even the thought the bushings and the supports are to separate parts, Honda sells both as one. I usually find on eBay for $11-14 each(for some reason the left support is always a $1 more expensive then the right) or on a website called repair clinic. Hope this helps.

Here's to an awesome 2020 season! I had a Honda that had self propel issues and it ended up being the pinion gear on the rear wheel, it was very easy and cheap fix!

I am a third shift hospital employee and I’ve been chomping at the bit to just get a day off and get out and mow my lawn...but I’m either stuck working or it’s been raining! So I live vicariously through you and enjoy watching you do your mow to hold me over! Thanks for the content and thanks for the entertainment during these crazy quarantine times! Lucky for me here around San Antonio ive been able to be on the yard for a month or so now :) 94 was the high yesterday lol, few days ago it was 60. Always love new vids from you man!!

Connor, you put the gear on backwards! Been there, done that, got the metal! Those mowers are known for problems when just a little bit of water/rust forms within the spring loaded "pawl". Clean out the recessed hole that the spring and pawl is inserted in, and lubes with waterproof grease and it'll cut down on the wheel dragging while pulling the mower backwards.

thank you for this. I tore the whole tranny out. sanded the shaft smooth and cleaned up everything. the gear spins freely and I can hear the clicking sound of the spring nad the pawl key. I think there is more to it than this. I need to tear it apart and see again.

@@lawnrebel you mentioned in your video that the mower didnt "track" straight anymore post initial gear removal, that a sign that it's only getting power from one wheel. I did a rebuild on one a few years ago, had both gears backward. When I went to engage the transmission , belt started spinning, and both shafts as well. With the gears backward they weren't engaging the motion from the trans shaft thru small gear to the large gear on the wheel. Hope this helps!

The Country is flat an its easy zu have a flat lawn. Mowing ist easy. We have some Hills on ouer Place. Our Tools in Germany most be in metrig. Witsch kind of Tools you are yusing? Our Mowers often has Motors from US. Briggs Honda perhabs Tecumseh. Often der was Scubs in Inch. I get a Tipp to se your Films from Andreas. Have a Nice Time!!

Question about your well water... do you use it to water your lawn or just the garden? Also do you know the hardness level? We just moved to an acreage and was thinking about using unfiltered well water on the lawn and garden but I am wondering if my water is to hard for it, I’m about 31 count on the water hardness scale.

You ain't gonna hurt that cool season KBG by scalping this time of year. I'm not so sure that plugging KBG will do any good. Probably need to re-seed. Someone educate me on this. I still have my stache, Connor!
