The fins on the torpedoes are angled. What happens is the muzzle blast will spin the projectile counterclockwise out of the barrel, and it is very stabile for a few feet, but as it travels downrange (about 10 feet), the airflow tries to make it spin clockwise and during that transition, it starts to lose stability. (I filmed them with a HS camera) Despite that I had pretty good accuracy at 25 feet. My shots also were quite high and I had to hold about 6 o'clock to get the POI on target.

Howdy, Jon. Great video. I was able to get my hands on one of these a friend bought. Love the accuracy of the torpedo rounds and the gas release. The grip is a bit different from the Umarex TR50 and for my hands I prefer the Umarex. Tried to shoot two round projectiles from a single chamber with little success. Found the chambers would not hold two projectiles securely and one would roll out the barrel when lowering the weapon. If your successful at upgrading/modifying the power then I would consider a purchase.

Sadly enough, the same thing happens with the HDR50 (11J) when its stock (plastic) drum is loaded with certain projectiles, such as the official Razorgun "devastators". So, it's not just a "Torpedo"-specific issue, but a more general one (which, I think, comes down to the quality of the plastic drums)... Maybe upgrading the revolver with an aftermarket drum made of aluminum would solve that issue, but I haven't *yet* tried it myself, so I can't really tell if that works or not..

Jon , thats an amazing weapon ,LOVE IT < i have said on youtubes channel before that projectiles in the shape of torpedoes would be awesome . i have also stated if the tr.50 had a larger drum magazine we could use and fire more aero-dynamic slugs and such . its just like .177 pellets , the short normal ones wobble off course when shot at or more the speed of sound , the longer heavier are way better . in comparison to the hdr.68 , the drum of the tr.50 is way too small , just look at what we are forced to shoot in slugs these thing are short and stubby ! . i still prefer shooting balls in it because of this . just think how cool it will be when they come out with a bigger better hdr.68 wow !!! one that can shoot small darts and stuff !!! in the last year and a half companies like cododo have picked up on my ideas i wrote about on youtube channels , never fear , i got a note book of things to come out with one day with the right people and companies , hey , i would like to make a little,,,,,,,"lot" of money myself , they are my ideas for crying out loud lol .!!! great show as always my brother !!! you just keep getting better and better !!!

That’s the wonderful thing about the internet. You can find any position on any product you’d like to find. From my findings, these are quite effective. You do not count on kinetic rounds for self defense. You use a high quality pepperball in addition to a high quality kinetic round. Also, weight is not everything. There are a lot of different rounds that this launcher will fire that no other launcher can due to the chamber size.

why would they name it the tr50 when there is already the umarex tr50
@AlternateArmsSD

Exactly my point ;) Why not call it the Torpedo revolver.. It sounds cooler anyway :) Brand recognition would be my guess though.

@AlternateArmsSD
@AlternateArmsSD 24 күн бұрын
Actually, yes it is. The “TR” on this refers to “Torpedo Revolver” whereas on the Umarex TR50 is stands for “Tactical Revolver”
