I think you’re going to love cutting with your machine. It’s so accurate and saves pressure on your hands. When my mat loses its stick, I spray the back of my material with basting spray or use a bit of painter’s tape to hold the edges. Enjoy!

You can use painters tape to tape the edges of your fabric(when it’s not sticking well). To freshen up your matt clean with an alcohol free fragrance free wipes.

I used to have to put fabric between freezer paper to get a clean cut but now have a SDX85 so am going to try today! Thank you for the video. Scan N Cut is the best, IMO!!!

You can just scrub your mat with warm water and a some dawn. Then air dry. Works like a charm!

SNCut is a game changer! Use alcohol free baby wipes to clean mats. Clean wipe after every cutting session! Let mat dry (about 15 mins), then cover with the mat’s plastic film cover - this is critical to keeping your mat sticky! Mine are >5 years old and still functionally sticky. For “problem” materials I use painter’s or embroidery tape for extra security. Have fun.

Baby wipes with no oil to clean your mat. You have a fabric mat and knife too. Love my machine ❤

I use baby wipes to clean my mats. Just make sure that they don’t have alcohol in them. When your mat dries it will be sticky again.

I love cutting vinyl with my Cricut! Game changer! I just convert pdf files and size then and also can pop in height and width for rectangles etc. no problem. Can’t get it to cut quilt cotton without a giant mess yet though. Thanks for showing how the brother works

I've heard to not put the fuzzy side down on the sticky mat since it will make your mat less sticky. You just have to pay attention of the image and directional fabric sometimes you will have to adjust for mirror images. Looks like fun!

I have this machine! Love it!❤ I have a few videos but you covered alot for just getting it!! I use wet ones to clean/refreshed my matt. I haven't used any svg for bags yet. I'm thinking I can scan pattern pieces too lol😊

I love my brother scan and cut, my only issue is the stickiness of the mats goes away too quick

I have the same machine. Sometimes it’s frustrating as the svg patterns that come with some patterns are converted to a smaller size when loaded in the brother scan n cut, even when they don’t need to be. I can’t figure out how to rectify this. It doesn’t happen when using the exact same svgs for the cricut. (I have both). It’s kind of frustrating me

I have this machine and and used it for HTV. It’s not great at cutting cotton but I will give it a go with non-fraying fabrics instead.

You can use washi tape to stick the material to your cutting mat.

I have had the SDX 330 for 4 months and have not used it yet! Trying to learn but all I find online is card making stuff!! Not into that!!!

You can clean them with a baby wipe, it will help with getting them to stick again. I'm horrible at cleaning them so I just tape things down.

If your mat lost all of it’s stick you can use ZIG glue. Just make sure to tape off the edges.

How are you liking this now that some time has passed? Really wanting to purchase one of these or a cricut maker for cutting out bag patterns (and hopefully for quilting some day). Can’t make up my mind on which one I want.
