Let's visit the Ancient City of Sparta with a Greek historian! This tour was conducted in the discovery mode of Assassins Creed Odyssey. Our guest is Roel Konijnendijk, a historian of Classical Greek History, especially Ancient Greek warfare and Sparta.
Our tour focuses on the homeland of the Ancient Spartans. We begin with a high level look at the map of Laconia and the key features of its surroundings. Next we drop down a level to a bird's eye view to examine some of the specific details of the landscape which include Bronze Age ruins, Periokoi communities, and key architectural features. Finally we drop down into a first person perspective to actually walk through the city of Sparta itself. We talk about the people of sparta, daily life, the buildings and much more.
