Here's the thing. Gavin is an entertainer. I'm sure he is fucking them on purpose. Could be a mix, of him just not paying attention. But he knows what he is doing quite a bit. In GTA V he has killed himself and other things for content.

Well in an ideal world. They would bubble and immediately start shaking the controller, moving them towards the others. All those times people were left behind could have been solved by bubbling and shaking the controller to make the bubble hover in the direction of the other players
