One of the best things about the channel is the real guitar amplifier. Very few nowadays with all of the DAWs.

I see a lot of people going 8th fret on 6th string in the intro, when trying to cover the album version... I keep saying that it isn't the case, they go on that fret when they're about to launch into the verse riff.

@@LetsPlayAll That I get, and I'm glad you get my viewpoint on the matter. I grew up as a kid with the Vitalogy cassette, every day to Elementary school... But now I can play this a bit easier. Thank you.

According to legend, Eddie Vedder saw a corduroy shirt being sold in some fashion store window for like $300 that was labelled as an "Eddie Vedder corduroy." He was pissed and wrote the song about how he had become a commodity.

@@LetsPlayAll OCD seems to be a great pedal... i ve seen a video where the guy play corduroy with a catalinbread galileo, and the tone was fine too. But the galileo is less versatile imho

Istn't the album-intro just alternating between E and A? The C is only added shortly before the verse-riff kicks in. At least that's what i hear on the album.

It is indeed, i'm fixated with the live version so completely forgot to do the intro as per album :-)

Thanks mate - it's all stock, came with the Fender Lace Sensor pickups. It's about 20 years old now!

Isn't he more so single the notes in the intro? He also seems to pout a bit of vibrato on the d string 9th fret note, as far as I can tell at least.

@@LetsPlayAll ah got ya. I haven't played guitar in several years but recently picked it back up. This was one of the first things I decided to play but was drawing a blank on part of it. Your vid helped get me back on track I saw them in Greenville several years ago and they opened with this. Was such a cool way to start the show. Then they played vs in it's entirety.

Ktask9 T he does indeed and I unintentionally edited that bit out. Oops! I’ve seen a few vids live where you can clearly see Eddie playing F and E chords for the verse riff down the bottom end of the neck. If you’re playing this on one guitar tho the riff I show sounds more like the album version.
