Putter looks fantastic. Six of us were watching this video in a clubhouse in the West of Scotland, and we were all at the same time googling the Lab putter. I struggle to understand some golfers who will quite happily pay £500 for a driver, and yet won't go above say £150 for a putter. 45 to 50% of my game is putting if not more. Magic video, Gabe. Loved this one ☝.

Agree, mind you: LAB has an online outlet store too, I managed to find a Mezz Max there last year in my (remotely fitted) spec. Not in my favorite color but glad it had that pistol grip too. After I saw Lucas Glover win two titles in a row with it, and learning about the technology, I was really convinced that this was for me, as my weak point in putting is face control. That's gone now - only need to focus on the line and distance. Brilliant stuff.

Speed control is still something I have to practice but overall loving the experience. For the past nine months, I have been deeply engrossed in researching various putters to find the perfect one for me. It hasn't been an easy task, but I have finally found what I was looking for - the new DF3. This putter has all the features I've been looking for - balance, precision, and a comfortable grip. I'm excited to finally be able to make a purchase and get my hands on it. However, the new DF3 is quite expensive, so I will have to part ways with some of my backup putters to be able to afford it. It's not an easy decision, as these putters have been with me for quite some time, but I know it's worth it to invest in a quality putter that will improve my game.

Worth Every dollar! Had man First round today with a shock version and holy shit! Made so many sick long putts. I am a pretty good putter But this Was sooo much fun. Made 4 birdies (7 one putts) only. This stock putter is even wrong lie for me and I used it with heel up for more upright lie and it still worked sick. The feel and speed control was mind-blowing. Bought the stock to test if it was for me and I am definitly going to go full fitting Now and sell this one. Best investment in equipment I’v made in 20+ y. I was probably lucky to figure out quickly how to use it. Some give up or it takes a while. For me I have always putted like the style LAB’s are supposed to be used and this and is what I have been waiting for my whole golfing life. Btw I am not a bot, just happy haha. 72 shots round with 29 putts feels good 😊.

@LetsPlayThru Great video, I was wondering if I can make a suggestion? It was hard to see but it looked like you were playing the ball too far back in your stance. Because the shaft is behind the putter head, the shaft should be lined up to the middle or a lifttle bit forward in your stance which means the ball should be like a fairway wood position in your stance (or driver depending on how wide your stance is when putting). I think you felt like you were compressing the ball because you actually were, with the forward press grip and having the ball back in the stance, you were hitting down on it. Youll still get that buttery feel when hit well (with the mezz I can def tell when I miss hit it), but its sort of more of a like a driver, you want to hit up on the ball. With the forward press and hitting up on it, the launch angle should be perfect -- ball too far back in the stance and youll be driving the ball in the ground. Idk if youve been on their youtube channel but they have video(s) about ball position and why they recommend what they do. Congrats on being converted too! :P Edit: went back and watched again. Ball position looks maybe forward enough? Its really hard to tell from looking from the side in a video. Hope no offense taken, just trying to help! Theyre weird putters and the set up changes a little bit but boy do they work!

I have seen several comments on cost for these putters, but very few “price debates” on drivers. You use a putter more than twice as many times in a given round as your “big stick” but we willing pay hundreds for the “distance myth”. Numbers are the only thing that “counts” in golf and while yards off the tee help, in the hole in one or two helps more!

I don’t know the answer to that question, I think they all have the same “no torque” technology, so it really just comes down to what works best for you and your eye.

What's face balance? Toe hang, up ,or toe down or face up?
@craigziegler1937
@craigziegler1937 5 ай бұрын
None of those. LAB putters are lie angle balanced, which means the face of the putter is designed to stay square to the target. Unless you manipulate the putter in your stroke it will stay square to your intended line. Check out their website and see what the "revealer" shows you, very interesting!

A high-MOI putter is "most insane"? Fitted with weights? Try the Happy Putter. I'm disappointed it's not a stand-up putter. I play the Bloodline, and I will never use a putter that doesn't stand up again. It seems like a fine club, but how many golfers will actually go through a fitting? We are an off-the-shelf society. Price? $559. Does that include fitting? Are fittings done by people trained to do them with this putter?

I noticed that you had lined up a few putts using a marking on the ball at the beginning of the review, but it wasn’t clear if you getting the ball to roll end over end. Was it easy to get the ball rolling end over end with the LAB? Usually it takes me a few practice sessions to get the ball rolling well with a new putter. I play the Srixon z star divide, so I can get visual feedback on how the ball is rolling.

Or on some money (I am sure new company can't offer 2millions to a player to ise its putter-ando also players won't take that "little" money to use it. Scott used newport2 20+ years and Phil his Odyysey for 20+

I'm wondering if anyone has played their blade-style putter...Link.1. I'm not a fan the mallet putter but the blade interests me. Any comments appreciated.
@jboww196
@jboww196 6 ай бұрын
@simmonsfoursome I have the Link and the DF3, the Link is sweet, same tech as the DF3 just not as forgiving - it's a blade. However, I think it's more forgiving than traditional blades because the variable of the face wanting to twist in motion has been removed. The twist/torque is minimal when our hands are on the grip with traditional putters, but... (it's still there) and we are reacting to what we feel when the putter is moving. The pros are amazing at controlling that variable - they spend hundreds and hundreds of hours mastering torque. I've made more putts with the Link vs. other blades hands down. Feel can take a minute to get used to, if you are over using your hands and rotating the face due to years of counter acting the torque of traditional blades it can feel hard off the face, it's actually good feedback. Once you adjust to allowing the putter do it's thing, it feels like butter. Super soft off the face.

I've got the Link 1 after playing a Ping Anser for years, the Link 1 is by far a better putter. I used to say "pushed it" all the time with the Ping- that just doesn't happen anymore with the L.A.B. I would say it plays like a blade but with huge amounts of forgiveness.
