For that last story, I was like "How is this catfishing?" Then, turned out to be the mother of all catfish.

"Hey, is Eva working tonight?" "Nah, mate. This bar hasn't existed in three years!" I blinked, and suddenly the bar was empty, dust on the shelves, cobwebs on turned over bar stools, with the three of us as the only living souls in the entire building.

You could make a crazy ass movie out of that last one.

That last story had me laughing all the way through just imagining these myspace emos with guns and gay turfs wars over some dude who had been kidnapped 40+ times who was also terminally ill?? "The elites"??? That had me dyinggg. also he keeps saying he hangs out with these people but oops it was all online he never met them and the mind fuckeryy like... a very talented 13yo made this story up and I ain’t even mad.

The final story in this video really got me.... that was an INSANE and I mean insane attempt for someone to gain attention for themselves. The fact that someone would go as far as to create all those different personalities is beyond my understanding. That third story is unbelievably creepy, only because of how complicated the plot was, and the uncertainty of what those guys were planning. My guess is that what they were doing was part of a larger operation with different groups of people working on different victims. I say that because it's clear that Pete showing up at the same time was an accident, as it had no strategic benefit and only served to screw the whole plan up. If the people doing this were just a small group of 4-5 people, that would never have happened. Somebody fucked up and it probably wasn't anyone who was in direct contact with the OP that night. It also seems like the girl that he went on a date with has to be involved in order for them to know that he went out with her. There's also some other girl involved who talked to him on the phone, since the OP would have recognized the voice of the girl he went on the date with. The people that these scammers are working for/with probably have girls on hand that they can use for in-person meetings, phone calls, etc. As far as the cancellations go, I'm guessing that this particular group of scammers were inexperienced and clearly incompetent as well, and that they got cold feet the previous two times, much like Reese's friend did towards the end of the story. Efa clearly somehow knew one of the scammers, but I don't think she was actually in on it, as she probably wouldn't have used her real name if she was. Somebody she knew fairly well used her name and the information they had about the pub she previously worked at. Who knows what they were planning. If I'm right about it being a larger organization of some sort, it's probably something much more nefarious than stealing his wallet. There was almost certainly no girl who looked like and matched the voice of the "Efa" account, and so the scammers were basically trying to figure out some way to drug the OP or something without him actually meeting Efa. I'm assuming they had a plan to do this earlier in the night but they fucked it up and from that point on were just trying to figure out what to do. I'm probably completely wrong about my assumptions but at least I can stop thinking about it now, lol.

On the last one I thought he met everyone in the group?!?! Now I'm really confused.........

Story #4 FTW! I had to put down the PS4 controller and just stare at my phone until the story finished. I always game while listening to these and very rarely do I need to stop what I’m doing because a story went to a level of insane that I couldn’t process two things at once.

For story #4, I remember when that story was first posted on Lets Not Meet. I even exchanged a few messages with the guy. He has a great head on his shoulders despite the relapse a few months prior. Last I heard he bounced back to his optimistic self.

Ive has a similar experience as the last story. A girl named jasmine in the online friendship group was the only one in the group. She was pretending to be Lynsie ,Zachary ( my online boyfriend and supposedly lynsies twin ) , Anthony , Cassie and Jay. For an entire year I was on an emotional rollercoaster. Jasmine was the only one who would Skype me . I would always be told that Zack was in hospital but they never told me why . Every time I grow suspicious and asked too many questions , fights about irrelevant things would break out and Zack would say he’d commit suicide . I eventually just ignored them completely . The “Lynsie “ account still has 4K on instagram and no one believes me when I say she’s a fake . Only after hearing the crazy stories people back off from her .

That last story is the lamest edgelord thing I've ever heard in my life, oh man, I love it so much, it's "My Immortal" all over again. I laughed all the way to work. Jesus Christ, that's amazing.

The fourth story sounds like something my high school "sweetheart" would make up. Apparently, he had a split personality, was in a gang, knew the lead singer of my favorite band, and "knew people" who would keep an eye on me when he moved. He's married now, and seems happy so I don't have to worry anymore :/

I was catfished at 17. I was on the site meet me and met a guy on there. He was your typical emo looking guy but all the pictures looked like the same person. He wanted to date me but I told him I had just gotten out of a long distance relationship and needed some time. A few weeks later he messages me and tells me he is in the hospital. I forgot exactly what for but he said he was dying. I was very upset. He asked if we could date while he had time left. After asking a few times I finally said yes. He used to tell me about how horrible his brother and sister in-law were to him and occasionally they would text me updates. He told me when he stopped responding to me I know what happened. He was supposed to die within liking 3 days. Well the time came and his sister in-law told me he was dead. I cried and was upset etc etc.. a week later I noticed him being active and still talking to people on MeetMe. I messaged him about it pissed and he blocked me. Lesson learned lol

Me and my boys got catfished so bad by this group of girls when we were younger..they put these gorgeous chicks as their pictures and would call us, put each other as dating on Facebook and even had some of my boys talking shit about each other to try and win over one of the girls or to impress them had us all fucked up lmao we felt so dumb when one of em came forward years later I wasn't that pissed but I seen some true colors come out in some of my old friends just for a girl who wasn't even real that's for sure..also mad funny when I told my ex who I'm cool with she got the biggest kick out of it cuz she was like I was so jealous when I seen you dating this insanley beautiful girl after me when I would stalk your FB and she wasn't even real lmao I'm like yea yea I'll take that L fucker lol

Reminds me of a traumatizing event that happened to me when I was 16-17 years old. I was friends with this girl online for two years (I was 16 when we met) and then we dated for a month. She claimed that she was 16 years old and she looked like she could be 16 as well. However, she then went on to tell me weeks later that she was actually 14 and I got pretty worried since 14 seemed pretty damn young for me at the time, but I foolishly shrugged it off. I had always tried to talk to her parents so they would get to know me but she would never let me suspeciously. The day we broke up is the day that I found out that she was actually 12. Twice she had lied to me about her age, and I was both heart broken and disgusted at the same time. She then did the same thing to another one of my friends who was also my age. I still feel ashamed of myself to this day for trusting an online stranger.
