Nice Gayle, this is so pretty. I was finally able to find some of those little doilies on Etsy so I am happy now. Talk about not looking at the calendar, I didn’t even know yesterday was Palm Sunday. I was feeling kind of sore all over and so cold. It’s been two weeks since my second vaccination and I think my body is fighting to keep me healthy. I feel better today. I actually went to my hairdresser who is working from home and got my hair cut. We have both been vaccinated so I think we were safe. We wore our masks too. Sending you Easter blessings.

Morning Gayle! I had an FYI for you... the eggs idea is an old one, but it is shaving cream not cool whip! *grins* Way cheaper using shaving cream plus you are not going to be eating the stuff, it is just to marblize the eggs. I learned how to make those in Brownies/Girl Scouts many many moons ago, circa early 70's. I am loving this newest journal, ha ha who am I lying too, I love all the journals you do. So gorgeous, you should be proud of yourself hon :) And I just love the accidental bellyband flip! lol, going to have to put one in my idea's journal! Just thinking, some of this paper would look lovely if printed on that printer fabric dont you think... ill have to wait on that till I get a new printer.

I’m going for my 2nd Covid shot on the 11th right after Mother’s Day. So I’m taking a project bag with me for the waiting in line as is wont to be at the VA hospital. Lots of discussion on this situation; many folks may remember getting small pox immunization or measles but I for one lived thru the Polio terrors. I was 8 when my 12 year old cousin got polio and died one day before they were to have put her in an iron lung. She was a ballerina, blond beauty. Only adults allowed at her funeral. Us cousins and kids under 15 weren’t allowed. Schools shut down, no swimming, Dr. Salk finally saved the world. I am 73 and still recall when our world stopped.

The drive throughs here have been packed here ever since the pandemic. In-N-Out Burger is just crazy but they’re very organized but still it’s probably 15 minutes or more to get through the drive-through. The other day I was 30 minutes in line for Dutch Bros. for coffee. However, it was their soft opening and the coffee was free so maybe it won’t be that bad later. We’ve been able to go in to order for a long time but it takes just as long as going through the drive-through, we’ve only been able to eat inside just the last week or so at 25% capacity, so some of the small places really can’t do it. One place is so small their sign said they could only have nine people inside, I feel so bad for the entire hospitality industry, the business owners, the employees, they’ve been hit so hard with this.

All your journals are beautiful, but This journal is one of those extraordinary ones. I think you roll the eggs in shaving cream with the food coloring is how I have seen it. I would worry the cool whip might leave a sticky residue? Tina at Shabbydabbydodah actually used the shaving cream idea and dyed some papers.

All this talk about getting first or even second shots... I am so trying to be patient but I just got all antsy and had a look to see when it would be my time, knowing full well that the times given are if absolutely nothing goes wrong along the line. Well, says I might expect a notification at the end of may and who knows how long it will be before the actual appointment for the first shot can be made. So, it is going to be quite a while yet. And now they are saying that from august/September on people are going to need booster shots too. This whole thing, it’s not close of being over, not by a long shot even... But! Your book is pretty! That’s something to rejoice in, right?! Right! 😉❤️
