Dr. Asaad, I'm applying this year. I have two LORs and will get two more once I finish my observership in a couple weeks...should I wait to get the last few LORS or should I start submitting my applications as soon as possible (with the 2 LORs that I already have)?

Thank Malke for the advice! I noticed your point about submitting LoR from different specialty and at least provide 2 letters from the same specialty. However, what if the 'different' specialty falls within a similar sub-specialty? e.g submitting 3 vascular surgery LORs to general surgery application while also applying to integrated vascular, would that be a major issue?

Since vascular is integrated in many programs now, it might be considered by many under the different speciality category.

1 Hi being an Indian img in usa how can I get my green card at the fastest and more of a practical approach via employment based? Pls mention different ways and also the years for the same. 2 Does doing research years after med school help in getting green card faster for indians without waiting too long in back log and how pls mention how many years to get it in this way? 3. after getting one such green card is it possible to work in any place or only in academic medicine and research?

The most useful video since you begin..... But there is a question many ask about if anyone interested in competitive specialty like plastic but it is difficult to match early , could he match internal medicine and during his residency prepare well for plastic surgery?

Ask in your last week of the rotation and tell them when you are applying. That way they can start working on it and save it until you apply.

dr, if i worked with someone set us say programme director or chief of department of Harvard and at the same time i want to apply to Harvard, so can they write me the letters of recommendation or that would be sort of conflict of interest ? thanks in advance.

I am planning to write Step 1 exam, but there's a hindrance in filling out the form for internship date as my internship has been suspended for indefinite time because China hasn't confirmed anything about calling back international students. We have been stuck in our countries since January, 2020. So, my question is what date should I fill out in internship as I am not sure about our internship starting date ? Please guide me. That means a lot to me.

@@enanabittar3120 سنه الامتياز في امريكا هل عباره عن السنه الاولى من التخصص وليست سنه لوحدها , امريكا ليس فيها طبيب عمومي او طبيب امتياز , من طالب طب الى النيابه مباشره , نصيحه اكملي الامتحانات وبعداك تعالى الى امريكا

i submitted my application on time but my third letter i just sent to all programs on november 30. what do you recommend i do to increase chance of getting more interviews? should i email each program that my third letter is in? or do they get notified or do they not see my application again after seeing only two Lors at that time? its for internal medicine
