Might not be the best idea to mess with medicine you don't know much about. Especially medicines that you bought from an exploitive appropriator who also doesn't know much about it, nor do they respect it. 3 no-no's. Even with good intentions, if things aren't done the right way, you still will be held accountable. And that's unfortunate cuz you really didn't know, but when you pick up medicines that are Indigenous to this land the spirits assume that you know what you're doing (or else you wouldn't pick them up, right?) I advise you to find out who's land you're on (like what tribe originally occupied that space), contact an actual medicine person from that tribe, go to them with a gift and offering and let them know who you are and what you do, then ask if they would be willing to conduct ceremony. Not only is that the respectful protocol, but you will actually be be engaging in good medicine (which you didn't actually do here, you just spent money and made your road an uphill battle by inviting negative consequences while getting absolutely nothing in return...except for the views of course.) I tell you this because I really enjoy your show! Out of all the channels I watch, you ask THE BEST questions and interview amazing ppl! I love that you're acknowledging our culture but I don't want you to be harmed so please consider the recommendations. I wish you the best!💖
