regarding #4; If Meowths are anything like ordinary housecats, then I don't think you really need the stick, string or bait, just leave the box out and in a couple of minutes you'll find a meowth inside it. It's the "if I fits, I sits"-method. ;)

That last one really got me thinking... If Pokémon can be stored digitally, you should be able to create Pokémon out of thin air by reverse-engineering their data. What if there was a Team Blackhat that dedicated itself to researching data of stored Pokémon and experimenting with deserialising generated Pokémon data? We could end up with all kinds of freak variants of the existing Pokémon because they haven't perfected the Pokémon generator yet.
