I think we need all kit weapons back, like in BF4. Limiting every class to one (or two) specific playstyles gets old way too quickly. Edit: I honestly think that this is actually a bigger factor in the longevity of the game than most people realize. With all kit weapons you can create so many different playstyle-class-combos that it would seriously help keeping people playing. At least that's what I believe, I used all kit weapons a lot in BF4.

I hope they add the C96 carbine to the scout class. I'd love that, a full-auto alternate fire mode, optional 40 round box mag on one side of the tree, hard to control on auto so only accurate in close range but decent semi-auto accuracy out further for headshots. I think that would be a cool pistol-carbine for the class.

I know medics just got two carbines, but I feel like this could have played well as a medic gun rather than recon.

I read and hear lots of people complain how weak pistols are in BFV. I use the M1911 and I think its great. if you go for headshots which is easy at close range with it, its a great weapon which can rakc up many kills. I think the M1911 is great and im having a good time with it. It just feels perfect as a sidearm and powerful

Quit comparing the class to the medic, any class loses to the medic in cqc directly. It IS just a gun for recons to be able to be offensive, while still playing recon. It is not about beating medics, or becoming the jack of all trades, its just there to create new play style for a class that has no offensive weapons. And it doesn't need a pistol speed reload when it has a *33 round drum mag*. If you are missing shots that is on you. And all this talk about skill but all the changes you suggest are taking the skill away.

Honestly, the biggest problem with the P08 Carbine is that your guy doesn't hold it from the barrel all the time. He only does it when aiming, sprinting, and full reloading, and it's such an bother for me.

I wish the recon would have gotten the Tromboncino and the Medic would have gotten the new P08 Carbine...

If they are going to buff this weapon in anyway, I would suggest 1 extra clip. The only 2 things about this weapon is that it has low recoil AND high mag capacity. I think DICE wants us to use it as a high risk high reward high skill high kill potential weapon. That's a lot of high for a single weapon. Still fun to use though.

This weapon quickly became my favorite that allows me to play as aggressive I can play for recon. Plus I find it fun to play with it even in close ranges

I understand the stats on this weapon aren't the best, but the playstyle is important to take into account. Pathfinder makes it easy to get behind enemies and the spotting flares make this weapon perfect for pushing objectives. The ttk is very fast especially when you are moving while shooting which makes it super difficult for enemies to hit you. (the ads while moving upgrades make the weapon) Also skip the faster reload upgrade, with 33 rounds u shouldn't really need it.

Random fact. The other day I was on Rotterdam playing breakthrough and everyone was playing medic a full 32 on 32 medic cqc shitfest. It was both amazing and terrifying the m28 spam i think I have PTSD.

How does the medic class have SMGs with faster muzzle velocities when many of them fire the same 9mm round, and have similar length barrels? I would have been happier if we got the 1903 Springfield that fires the .30-06 in bolt action mode (60 rpm) for powerful long range potential, and then has a secondary fire mode of swapping to the Pedersen device to spam fire (450 rpm) a .30cal pistol round that impacted with a damage model similar to a 9mm SMG, and similar range. Even skill tree options that gave you the bayonet charge.

This gun broke my game. I unlocked it and got it up to rank 3 and now every time I launch the game I crash to desktop before hitting the main menu. I had fun with it while my game worked.

I think the gun is meant to run the pathfinder role as seeing a recon with a semi auto rifle, imo, doesnt happen very often thus everyone running the sniper role. Its meant to be aggressive at a distance but not to where it outplays the other classes up front respectively. I agree that dice took the right direction with this gun in the recon class, hopefully I see more recons using the pathfinder role for more effective team spawns across the maps!

You might recognize the magazine from the MP18 from BF1.

Its a fun little gun and looks the business with the paracadutista skin with the map on the stock. Gives me an excuse to play recon a bit more than normal.

That Boys AT rifle I am definitely excited for. I assume it will be just like an MMG. Lie down or set it up on a window ledge to use it. Hopefully DICE gives us 1 shot body shot potential as it is a .55cal round with tremendous ballistic properties.

I personally love this gun. I had a 10 kill streak with it and Im not even near great at battlefield. However it fits my play style very well allowing me to still be a threat from range with a ability to push.

I actually think the Model 8/RSC are better for aggressive recon than this lol.

The best thing about the P08 is that it gets the sniper d-bags back in the game. Worst thing is that there's beacons everywhere now!

I went the same tree as Jackfrags did(all the left side hipfire stuff except for the last one for better aimed) and i have been wrecking people with it. Use the 3 time scope for mid range, and hipfire up close and it works way better then what Level is saying. In the end every one of my friends who have tried it thought it was incredible, and that has nothing to do with a "honeymoon" period. I am hip firing people in under a second without headshots and often get 4 or 5 kills without reloading, so have never needed a faster reload. I have watched Levels vids since early BF4 days and loved them and found them helpful, but this is the worst review I have ever seen him do.

I am loving this gun. I am a mediocre player and this has help me out. It has great accuracy and speed. I had great hip fire shots. One shot kills on closer headshots. Many many bullets. When I get better I will move on. This would be great in Firestorm. Or make it available to other classes.

It’s not a try hard gun. And on top of that it is a pistol! It’s supposed to be just a fun weapon for the sniper. It doesn’t limit it to just long and medium range. It’s like the m1917 trench carbine from bf1 it’s literally like the pistol carbines from bf1 which weren’t the best but they were actually very fun and stupid. I remember running around with dual mle 1903 and going on streaks and having fun.

As solo player yes your right, but in a squad with their own tactics using class "boosters" this is really good

this wep honestly needed to be on the medic class. Right now on the recon it just makes you turn into an assault player with no anti tank options. So I don't get their logic here.

I Like this gun but i liked the c6 carabine in bf1 too

I thought it'd be pretty cool but once I used it I was underwhelmed and started trying to think of the point of it. I understand it's a pistol cartridge but I didn't think it'd have such severe damage drop off since it's recon and has a longer barrel, you might as well just use a pistol and keep your rifle. It just gets pooped on in every category by another weapon. Even spawn beacon has a lot noise making not suited for close quarters on cap points.

What I like about BFV is that LevelCap doesn't compare everything to the Automatico and the M1911. "Oh this gun is fun but mah AuToMaTiCo hAs a fAsTeR TTK" God that shit was annoying

i keep having this problem in bf5 where the game runs fine until i run into a enemy player, when the enemy player is on my screen my game freezes up until i'm dead, i don't know what is causing this issue, it ran fine until and it started around january, it has made the game unplayable for me, if you or anyone may know a solution to this please tell me i really like this game but i haven't been able to play it.

I wish they'd stop balancing weapons so that every weapon is gonna be great or viable alternative in some situation... Rifle calibers are gonna mess you up at distance, 9mm and other pistol calibers should not be balanced for medium / long range.. They were meant for close range, not to compete with rifles. (also can we just get rid of the machine gun "balance" in games now a days, they're dangerous BECAUSE they fire a rifle caliber at high rates with sustained accuracy)

Its a versatile weapon, its not the best close quarters or from range. But its not the worst in either situation either.

You have no idea what you're talking about. With no specialisations (which is how I have to play because it's bugged) this thing is a hip fire beast. A solid 60-70% of my kills are with hip fire and I completely the Mastery easily in 2 days. Scoping in is necessary at many times but within a pretty decent range you're better off hip firing, especially against running enemies. The way to play this gun is an aggressive recon, using flares to know where your enemies are and then using map knowledge and/or grenade assistance to force them into the hip fire sweet spot.

I got a 7 killstreak upon first spawning in with this weapon, it is clearly OP and needs a nerf, I'm not THAT good at the game :P Seriously though, it's nice to play recon and not have to feel like I need to snipe, I love being able to use flares now
