Vyvance has changed my life. My wife is no longer in a carer role. My business was failing. Ive turned it around and, more important, love my work. I wake up feeling good, and my mood remains stable all day long. I call it Angel Dust. Downsides? Loss of appitite, plus food no longer tastes like anything. Sleep disruption. Worst: stomach pain and nausea/vomiting. Solution: I take a break on weekends. Trade off? No question. Benefits far exceed the costs. Saturated in gratitude to have it. Only wish is that it had been earlier. I got diagnosed at 66. Im on 20mgs.

Just started on Vyvanse. My doctor gave my 20mg for a week then 30mg after that. Even the lower dose is making a huge difference. I finally feel a sense of quiet in my head that I’ve never felt before. I find it a lot easier to start task, I get distracted less, and when I do get distracted I’m actual able to pull my attention back after just a few minutes.

I'm glad that it's working out for you. My doctor started me on 10mg yesterday. I just feel really drowsy and relaxed.. like I just drank nighttime Neocitrine. So it was interesting to see in the video that 30-70mg is the therapeutic dose.

@mujtabarehman5255 Ай бұрын
@@sansanm9453 It was interesting. Some days I was able to get a crazy amount of concentration, but other days I could barely feel a difference. I’m in university so it’s easy for me to measure productivity. There were a couple days I just spent in bed on my phone. When I first take the pill and the focus comes in, I have to make sure I’m doing work. Otherwise I’ll just squander the day. The “wow” factor of the first 2 days hasn’t come back yet. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to it. 20mg definitely wears off sooner then I would like. About 6 hours later I start to feel the focus go away. Around 8 hours later the quiet in my mind leaves. Hopefully 30mg last longer. I also have to get better with utilizing it’s effects. I’ve been eating slightly less, especially lunch. But I make sure to have a big dinner, because if I don’t I’ll get a massive headache and intense starvation when it wears off. My sleep schedule is unaffected. I even took it at 2pm one day and was able to get to bed with only slightly more difficulty. Mood has been somewhat inconsistent. Over the weekend I was in bed most of the day. I realize that I may have had a mild depressive episode, but after realizing the medication may have been causing it, the symptoms subsided. One subtle effect that I don’t like is that I feel a bit more distant to my girlfriend. We’ve been together 2.5 years and we’re very close. Right now we are long distance, so this isn’t the best test. But I can tell I feel different. I love her just the same and we talk everyday, but it’s as if I need her less. I’m not a fan of this change and I’m worried it will get worse on 30mg, but let’s see. She’s also on some meds, so chances are she’ll understand. On the other hand most of my other relationships are improving. I find that I’m reaching out to people more and don’t leave messages unread, so that’s nice. Let’s see what’s in store for 30mg.

Thanks for the videos! Please make one about the non-stimulant medications 🙏 as someone with Bipolar Disorder (who might also have ADHD, since the adhd-like symptoms seem to persist even in euthymia), I'm interested in learning more about them. I've heard about Qelbree, but like all other ADHD meds it's not available in my country (Ritalin is the only ADHD med approved here)... what treatments can help with ADHD symptoms that are primarily executive dysfunction related (like chronic procrastination, chronic lateness / time-blindness, lack of motivation, sleep procrastination etc.)? Thank you 💟

Check out wellbutrin. Let me know how it goes. Wellbutrin isn't directly a stimulant but an antidepressant ndri. Only one in it's class. Will save more dopamine in the synapse which will deal with Adhd symptoms as well as pulling you a bit up out of the depression apathy

Bupropion can be an option as well as atomixetine and quelbree as you mentioned. Trintellix can also be considered. Though they all still have a potential to induce mania, but not as high a risk as the stimulants. You can also try natural treatments such as Omega 3s, B12, Rhodiola, OPCs, etc.

That is interesting. I would suspect inflammation and rule autoimmune conditions and leaky gut. Support blood and lymph flow with stretching and massage. Support gut brain axis with anti inflammatory diet and good probiotic like MegaSpore. It is possible Vyvanse is activating your sympathetic nervous system and therefore increasing inflammatory markers like cortisol.

Here in Australia we have very terrible supply issue for the Lisdexamphetime / VYVANSE! Is that the same for you? We can only get either 20 or 70MG I was on 30 or 40MG and now jumped up to 70 as that’s the only ones available. Any insights of these supply issues?
@dWFnZWVr
@dWFnZWVr 4 ай бұрын
The global shortage is starting to resolve itself, although periodic shortages may continue throughout 2024. Best thing to do is ask your doctor to issue prescription scripts more frequently (weekly/bi-weekly) to account for any time medication is out of stock. Then you’ll reduce the chances of running out and always have a new supply ready to collect. If you’re on 40MG and only 20MG is available you can prescribe 2x 20MG capsules to make up the 40MG dose. Likewise, you can split a 70MG capsule into two to get approx. 35MG - although this is less advisable unless dissolving in water. It’s unusual to see a sudden jump to 70MG from 30MG or 40MG. Dose increases are typically made in increments of 10MG. 70MG is the highest dose and you can open yourself up to the risk of abuse if it’s too strong for what your body needs. Side effects such as euphoria become more apparent in higher doses and it can lead to dependence.
@saintessa

Yeah I heard that! A few months ago my pharmacist told me they were out of 50s but I was just put on 60s in time I guess... Maybe it's cause it's recently been put on psb or because it's the first line treatment for adults with adhd, with more people being diagnosed too.

@@g-uy9meI can't speak for them but I assume cause for some people (and depending on the day) vyvanse can have unwanted side effects like anxiety and high heart rate, so in those times I feel like if I were to exercise I might get a heart attack (just the heart rate makes me feel like that but I doubt it.) So sometimes the thought of a higher dose equals anxiety. Sometimes I put half my capsule in water and throw out the rest because at times I wonder if 60mg is too high a dose for me.
