Bill has beautiful property. I love that brook. That last scene of the bridge was stunning.

True Millbrook fashion-at least one derailment. 😜

I built an 0-scale bridge like that,it was on a 40 inch radius curve and had a king post bridge on one end of it.Th bridge deck was on top of the king post bridge.

Love it! Great little project video. That bridge is so sweet, simple as pie and strong as can be. What a fun railroad!!

Cute little stream, nice stone abutments and strongly made trestle like in the good old time railway fashion. Instead of lifting wood piers that will eventually rot and pouring concrete, wouldn´t have been easier just to lower track on both ends of bridge ? Nice warming sun...at the end. Thanks for good work of bridge & engineering department.

@@royreynolds108 thanks Roy, but can you share a bit of your experience ? Is it because it will continue to sink in the future ? It´s an intetesting matter for people like me, lacking knowlrdge.

Lowering the track on either end would have made the steep grade much worse and would have required removing track and blasting rock on the upper end, since the track passes over ledge just uphill from the bridge. So, it was much easier to lift the bridge and re-seat it.

@@MillBrookRailroad oups...didn´t know that little detail. I hope that Roy will develop why my suggestion is a big no no. Usually track goes up. That´s why main are always higher than secondary or team track. Thanks Aaron.

Very nice bridge over a beautiful brook.

A bridge crew would have raised the stringers and shimmed them instead of the whole bent. But that would have been a lot more weight to move.

Lovely bridge. Do you have any information on the construction of the wooden piers? Was some special hardware used or just screws?

The wooden bents were built like a trestle. I think they're held together by lag bolts.

This kind of work is better done with a bottle jack. Fits in smaller area, easier to operate and can be moved with one hand. A 20 ton (better too much than not enough) from Wally World is not expensive.

Excellent work.. I need unspoken prayer requests for workmen’s Comp doctor notes for release to work or medical retirement? Chronic condition of hematoma injuries and need workmen’s Comp doctor note to convince State of Texas Office Risk Managment to approve full long term disability.
