Barely anyone played Lei in old tekkens, makes you wonder where these lei heroes came from

A lot people like Lei whether or not it was their main character. Lei is a classic staple to Tekken like Hwoarang and Eddy Gordo. Having him missing is like having Jin or Yoshimitsu missing. I think the reason they didn't include Lei was to appeal to casuals because Lei has a lot of auto-parry, autoblock stuff in his stances. His popularity or lack-thereof shouldn't be an issue considering two bears got into the game and they are even less played. I like the new characters but the game lacks unique Tekken characters like Marduk and Lei. I wasn't a Lei main in older Tekkens but I would have been if he was in the game.

hiverhythm the biggest reason he didn’t make the cut was because he was rarely played, straight from Bandai. But the reason for that was how incredibly complicated he was to pick up. I used to play lei and getting used to his stances were a little more complicated then even hwoarang. It’s understandable why he’s missing but I doubt harada won’t add him back seeing as everyone wants him

He was competitive in SC2, not in the later games. Aris says "If you beat someone 2 rounds straight they get a free bar of meter and this is bad, blah blah rewarded for getting smashed" He doesn't know that on your last round you get a free bar of meter, and so does the other guy should he fall to his last round as well, he was actually surprised in the SC6 gameplay that both got a free bar of meter. How could you not know something so basic? This mechanic is literally the most perfect come back mechanic as it encourages you to win a losing round by spending meter and if come-backing player is successful the other player gets the same comeback mechanic equally. The Asian guy complains that he wanted to play Alpha Pat but he had too many Just Frames so it turned him off the game, he suggests losing the Just Frames, that's like me crying that I want to play Kazuya but want him to lose EWGF. It's pretty unbelievable that the most simplified and refined Soul Calibur was too hard for him. Alpha Pat is the Just Frame guy, it's kinda his thing. Aris shits on the Guts (he calls reverse rage) system and praises the Rage system in Tekken. He says that Guts may as well be a debuff but failed to understand that there is a good chance that both players have equal chance to benefit from Guts in a single round, whereas Rage one wrong guess and the comeback player takes the round with the more successful suffering as they are not likely to survive to use their own Rage. Guts actually buffs more slow heavy hitting characters, which tend to be weaker in these games. Aris has not studied what the Reversal Edge is and does what everyone else assumes and says OMG its an all block. Upon further inspection the mechanic looks like a less obnoxious version of the Tekken Revo Armour move since it appears that you must attack if you wiff the RE, making it launch punishable. Run counters is another thing he shits on it even tho he doesn't understand the rest of the mechanics. Step G looks like a thing in this game. Not to mention that with the exception of some characters, getting run countered from fast A's rarely confer a significant combo/stun. Aris's influence is reaching tons of Soul Calibur media with his straight up bullshit/ignorance, people crying that the game is trash and spamming Okubo's twitter and even writing petitions and shit just because this game doesn't play like SC2 or Tekken. These guys are Tekken players, they don't know Soul Calibur. and the Soul Calibur community is indeed alive, they reside on 8wayrun.com
