@@kodiakgyu I'm not exactly sure how big my room is. But I can tell you that I used this to clean the air when my sister burnt oil on the stove and it cleared quite a bit of the air. For like the 5 minutes I had it on. living room and kitchen are connected. I hope that helps.

So glad I found this video! I had no idea I needed to clean the outer portion of the filter. I honestly thought it'd stopped working after a month. I wiped it down and the cigarette smell from my neighbors is gone again!

I just opened my unit. turned it on without realizing the filter had a bag around it. I ran it for a few hours and was questioning why the air flow was so poor. Glad I watched your video this morning lol. I hope the motor was ok, It was actually a little warm after like 4 hours

I really like mine. My prefilter gets pretty dusty quick which means it’s doing its job. It has very strong airflow on the highest setting. I don’t think it’s too loud. It sounds like a white noise machine so I run it at night in my bedroom. One of things they don’t mention for these is the volume of a room. My bedroom is close to 250 sq feet, but it has 12 foot ceilings. I wish they would mention that in the specs. Levoit makes a bigger one to cover more area, but it costs almost 3-4x more. If you have a bigger area, I would consider just getting 2 of these and spread them out in a bigger room. If the noise doesn’t bother you, 2 or more of these spread out could easily clear a larger area faster than one big one. I just wish I could use with smart plugs. When unplugged, they don’t remember their power setting, so you have to physically turn the button back on.

In case you didn't find the room coverage info, the Core 300 is for rooms up to 215 sq. ft., in some manuals it says 219 sq. ft., but that's not a big difference. I must agree with you that in some cases it's better to buy two Core 300 air purifiers than one bigger and more expensive air purifier.

This is a great unit. Every week or two I take out the filter and vacuum the outer nylon filter to prolong the life and efficiency of the filter. :)

@@marcobodt9750 You vacuum the outer filter, the nylon outer filter. I also put the vacuum home around the outside base hole and vacuum them too, and inside the chamber.

@@marcobodt9750 The unit has 3 filters. An outer nylon filter that picks up larger stuff like a lot of dust and stuff, and inside is the smaller true hepa filter that catches micro particles, and the charcoal filter for minor odors is also inside. You need to regularly vacuum the crap that collects on the nylon to allow the filter the suck up the smaller particles inside the true hepa filter.

You vacuum outside the filter. Then you take out the filter and vacuum the crap of off the outer nylon filter.

Hi i need an information, could this air purifier remove the cooking odors and make the air in bedroom more fresh? My bedroom is close to the kitchen and it doesn't have enough opening air access so it's really hard to breath in my room sometimes. My room is only about 3×2 meters. Will this product helps?

I have had this air purifier for a year. I use it in my bedroom and only run it at night. It has really helped with my sinus issues (dust and pet dander). I usually run it on the 2nd speed and the filter light just went on today.

This device is a life saver. I am in the middle of 20+ wildfires happening in the Northern CA / NV area, I live in Reno. the smoke is so bad you can't see your neighbors' house or the mountains some days. I have asthma so I can't go outside and I've been wheezing inside all day. I ordered this, the 300 model, and left it on all morning. I'm no longer wheezing and the air actually doesn't smell bad or have a thick texture. I'm very glad I ordered this

Hi, my carpet releases lots of fibers, will this help remove some? The carpet also collects alot of dust, and when you vacuum it the dust flies everywhere.

Please be aware that PM and dust is not the whole story. A good air purifier should also handle effectively VOCs and Formaldehyde. Not sure why Leovit is not including results for VOCs filtering. 200S in my home test with VOCs monitors performed very poor. Hopefully 300S with RF-TX filter (it''s not the one comes with device) can get better results. All the best and thanks for the nice video!

Great video thanks! One question. I got a unit yesterday and at the end of the day, I checked the filter to see what had been collected and it looked completely clean. Is this normal and supposed to happen? I ask because I have days and was expecting hair to be collected but I can't see anything

This thing has helped amazingly. I got home started getting allergies stuffed nose to where i had to mouth breathe would wake up 6 hours into sleep with my nose bleeding . I have a question: I had party in my apartment and everybody smoked and I kept it on, now the the air that comes out of the product smells like cigarettes, I kept it on all night, I even put it outside for a bit but still smells. Is there a way to clean it or to "air" it or what to do? :D

I don't have the Levoit Core 350 model to compare the filters, but I think the filter from Core 300 can fit into the Core 350.

As I can see, the smart app, room coverage, and design are the only differences. I haven't tested the Levoit Core 200s, so I can't choose which one is a better option.

Great product and idea, but why can't I feel any suction on the inlet? I can only feel something when I tough the slots. How does this capture the bad air, if I can't feel the suction?

It depends on which speed you are running it. Every speed has different CFM and based on that suction on the inlet is higher or lower.

Awesome review, very detailed and helpful! I am cross shopping this Levoit Core 300 with the Renpho RP-AP088B/W. Both are similar budget air purifiers that have received positive reviews from owners and both made by companies based out of California. Is there any way you can do a detailed review like this on the Renpho RP-AP088B/W? Maybe like a head-to-head review to determine which is best comparing all specs, features, performance, warranties, filter costs, etc?

I suggest experimenting with different locations until you find out which one suits you the best. Also, it would be great if you put the air purifier near the source of pollution.

I haven't tested the Vital 100 yet, but based on its specifications, it's slightly more powerful than the Core 300. So, if you are planning to use an air purifier in a room bigger than 300 sq. ft., than Vital 100 is a better choice.

Can anyone please tell me if Air Purifiers alter the air pressure in room? Ever since I switched the Levoit 300s I feel like my EARS getting blocked as in an airplane. Any of you having this feeling or it maybe a coincidence that my ears clogged for some reason at the very same moment? Second question is that on the medium speed the device has like a very low whistling like sound. Not on low or high. I hear it only on medium fan speed. Its hard to describe this sound but its like a plane engine but on a low volume. Please help!

Great review, I've just bought mine. I'm keen to know, how does it do getting rid of cooking odours? Will the standard filter be sufficient?

It might help, but I would suggest an air purifier with a bigger carbon filter. Using the Core 300 in the kitchen every day will reduce its filter life much faster. But, using it in the kitchen from time to time is fine. I always suggest a good cooking hood in combination with an air purifier for the best results.

the bottom cover does not really push against the filter so my guess is that the seal at the top of the filter is not really airtight once the purifier is turned back up. At least mine did not feel snug at all. The seal is so thin, there is no way that could be airtight without the bottom cover pushing enough on it to make it snug. What do you think of that design? is it really airtight? does yours feel snug when you put the cover back?

The bottom cover pushing hard against the filter, so there is no free space between the filter and the bottom cover. I think the circular design is a good fit for these types of devices. Yes, it does feel snug.

The activated carbon filter seems really thin and like there are holes in it. Is that just the lighting, or is it really like that? Is that the standard thickness, because I think I saw some filters that looked like they had a centimetre thick carbon filter.

Yeah, the lighting in this video is not the best. You are probably right with that, mostly because every manufacturer has a different size and density of carbon pellets in a carbon filter. If odors filtration is your biggest concern then you should look for a bigger unit. I suggest some of these: Winix 5500-2 and Austin Air HealthMate.

Just got this Levoit 300 ;-) Is the PRE-FILTER looks like (white)accordion, which needs to be clean every 2 to 4 weeks?

That's the HEPA filter, the pre-filter/activated carbon filter is the black layer from the inside (unless is the nylon pre-filter the reviewer is talking about). Check this pic imgur.com/8crc9cj

I have a two floor house. Three bedrooms in the upper floor. Kitchen, dining and living room in the first floor. Do you recommend one Levoit Core 300 for downstairs and one for the upper floor or should I get one LV-H 132 or the Vista 200 for each room plus the Levoit Core 300 for downstairs? Please advise. Thank you.

Levoit Core 300 is the most powerful comparing to those you mentioned. So, my suggestion is to buy Core 300 first, and after you see if it work well for you, then buy one more, and so on. If you can, it's better to buy three Core 300 air purifiers and use them at lower speeds if necessary.

i had this core 300 a bit ago, and it started to give off a strange chlorine smell, and i noticed that i had a sore throat after leaving this Purifier on for too long, dose anyone know why this is?, as iv heard HEPA filters should no be able to emit ozone, so does anyone know what happend with this unit?

I'm planning to purchase this air purifier to be able to smoke cigarette into the flat. I care about my neighbors and I understand that there might be some that do not like that odor. So do you think it will work as I expect?, I am planning to smoke close to the device and exhale directly to it.

Just bought my Levoit air Purifier P350, started to use it since 1st of January till now, it really help my son who is allergic to dust. I did extra cleaning with vacum cleaner and change bed sheet every 3 days, but i swear this air purifier really brings BIG change, my son never had blocked nose during sleep anymore. The price of the air purifier and the replacement filter is affordable, too.

I just got mine today, And everything is working perfectly fine from what I see, feel and hear. I have a small room and I can tell a difference, don’t know if is placebo but I can sense a more cleanser air when I breathe! Hope I’m right.. I’ll check the filter in about two weeks

I am considering this to see if it alleviates my breathing problems. There is a ton of dust coming from my ceiling bathroom vent, which is connected to my bedroom. Would a small purifier be effective for a situation like this and where would I place the unit to clean both sides? Both of the rooms are rather small. Of course Im going to see if I can get the vent professionally cleaned as well to help.

It all depends on your room size. It would definitely get dirty more quickly, but will it be effective as cleaning the vent I don't know exactly.

Will this unit work on patio table to draw smoke into it if used on table? Outdoor patio. Not so much to reduce smell but the smoke.

It's for indoor use only. Air purifier will not work well outdoor.

Is there a measurable difference between this model and the Core P350? From my research it seems the only difference is the filter, which is interchangeable. So you can buy a Core P350 filter and put it into the Core 300 and essentially have it operate like a Core P350?

I haven't had a chance to touch the P350 model, but I think you are right. They have the same dimensions, the same weight, and the same look. The differences are: the color, the filter, and the pet lock button (instead of the child lock button, which is the name for the same button on the Core 300 model).

Excellent video - thank you. Quick Q, I know the Blueair 411 produces a small amount of ozone when in use due to the technology in use. Does this one? Or is it completely ozone free? Thank you in advance

The Levoit Core 300 is 100% ozone-free. It doesn't use Ionizer or UV light, it uses only classic 3-in-1 filtration that doesn't produce ozone.
