I’ve been working through a tough phase of depression. Trying to forget the lifelong abuse from my father and a breakup that should’ve never happened. Lewis Capaldi has helped me at my lowest lows. Not long ago I was listening to my Spotify playlist after dealing with some personal struggles, and Bruises came on, and I just broke down in tears. I honestly got so excited seeing the notification for this song. Lewis Capaldi’s music has been therapeutic. I got myself into a better situation recently and I’ve just been genuinely happy. Thanks to Lewis Capaldi.

about 3 years i was dealing with the worst part of my depression and bullying. i remember listening to this song a drowning within the lyrics, i knew i was being used by so many people and dealing with a relationship i didn't know how to handle. i'm just glad this song was made, because i can reflect on that time and although it makes me sad i can acknowledge i can get better.
