The video storyboard is taken from the story of Greyfriars Bobby ,Lewis being Scottish would be familiar with the true story of a little Skye Terrier whose elderly master died when he was young and he spent his remaining years by his masters graveside . Disney made a movie about it in 1961 , there is also a statue in honour of Bobby in Edinburgh

There was also a dog in Japan whose name I forget that met his owner every day at the train station, and when the owner died he still waited at the station every day. There is now a statue of the dog at the station. It was Americanized and made into a movie with Richard Gere.

lewis capaldi is a very solid singer/songwriter for being in that mainstream lane, i've always had respect for him as a musician im just goin off your taste in rap on this channel but I think you may like an artist named Cal Scruby, he has a song called Donnie Darko you might enjoy
