That sound before the fly-by, in the low speed corners - it's almost like the sound of the ghost of a long lost loved one. Lingering in the back of your mind, you feel their presence but it's quite faint. Then you hear their voice, and the joy of memories brings tears to your eyes in that moment. Chills! Literally what I felt while seeing the reaction of Lewis and hearing that sound.

Melbourne Australia late 90s was amazing! I lived about 10 kilometres from the race track and could still hear them on practice and qualifying days. Race day up close trackside and hearing the entire grid is something i will never forget. That era of F1 cars was very special !

Good lord, that is blood curdlingly good. The numbers guys would say the V6s this percent more efficient, but holy shit the V10 howl is as legendary as an ICE noise can get.

I can remember being at every F1 race at spa since 1999. I was disgusted when they switched to v6 hybrid and i still am. Everything before the hybrids sounded so good. It was loud and would make the ground shake. People always mistake it. They think "loud is always good". Its not that way. They were insanely loud. But the sound, the pitch, the tc kicking in after every corner. They just had an amazing sound, and it wasnt just "loud" , like theyre trying to repliclate now and make them louder, FIA, i dont care about the decibels, the hybrids sound shit compared to this, no fixing that by turning up the volume. We need those RPM's and that tone, not that volume.

I was lucky to have been at the 2005 Barcelona and Monaco Grand Prix. The V10s sounded other worldly. The naturally aspirated V10s were Super Loud and sang a beautiful song. Earplugs were a must have back then!!!!!!!!

I remember, as a kid, my fathers company he worked for was the was a sponsor of the 2009 Australian GP, going to the track and hearing the V8 sounds ,not even being able to hear him speak next to me. The V10 would be mental. Good memories.
