Global in that the top three drivers on the Grid are British, Lando drives for a British team based in Britain, and Mercedes is based in Britain, and Red Bull is based in Britain, and the race was held in Britain, I think they can be forgiven for having a British commentator

@@Robert1187 Charles was never going to be able to mentor or groom the Ferrari team sufficiently to form them back into championship winners as their Team Fathers did back in the nineties. Sainz may have achieved that, but Hamilton will achieve that. ( Fred is praying)🙏

However I think Hamilton has already considered that possibility and should your prophesy become real, Hamilton has the intelligence and the ability to take over management of the team after Fred and spend the next decade or so building the very best Ferrari team since Michael Schumacher’s time. I’m firmly convinced that Hamilton is currently just still in the first half of his ultimate F1 legacy.

The hurdle was realistically the way in which his 8th title was stolen. In his words it stole a part of him and he lost love for F1. It's been an understandably difficult journey and this was such a truly beautiful pay off considering it was Silverstone. I can't say I managed to keep dry eyes.

@@izieky IIRC, he went on record several times over the last 18 months about how the engineers disregard his input on the car and its direction. Which I could understand his frustration and a bit ignorant on their end. You have a 7 time world champ, who actually DRIVES the car. I would think he would be the first stop on input. Hindsight being 20/20 its easy to see now he may have made a bad decision, but when that decision was made Merc wasn't in a good place and Ferrari was (and still is) 2nd in the WCC.

Ehh… I don’t see them hating each other even if we get F1 drama between them. It obviously doesn't resonate with Scuderia Ferrari either, as they have long wanted his global brand. Michael went to Merc and Lewis took his seat and won multiple championships. Lewis is going Ferrari so whoever takes his seat should win multiple championships. Seb took Coulthard’s seat and won multiple championships as well as Max who took Vettel’s ( even though Kyviat was a stop gap).
