Ryan McQuerry, kudos for absolutely CRUSHING the shuffle! Most drummers covering this song can't quite get it or make it so so effortless and easy. Damn fine job!!

So why did he leave the ghost notes out of the intro? That's the most iconic drum intro and there are no ghost notes on the snare....

This has it all - the difficult drum shuffles, bass guitar attack, with a nice touch of lead guitar, keyboard runs, percussion flourishes, smoking brass, and flawless vocals... Brilliant!

That shuffle beat at the beginning is one of the hardest drum parts to nail. Jeff was a genius. Whoever this cat is in the red and blue shirt doing the Bobbie KImball part is spot on!!!

I think it's based off the "Purdie Shuffle." Not easy at all. I saw a lengthy video tutorial on it. One of my favorite bands. Awesome rendition

WOW, the lead’s voice is awesome! the rest of you are great as well. Horn section is incredible. Drummer has the rhythm and beat perfect. You guys are the best! The lead guitar is right on! Let’s not forget the girls they are always great! Keep the songs coming!

The chorus efforts performed in this cover are amazing. There is no tonal difference between the cover and the original.

Sure is - Jeff Porcaro based the original on the Purdy Shuffle and it's certainly "advanced drumming" for sure.

Those fills with the horn hits are SO hard to get. It's one of those fills that doesn't seem right, but works perfectly with the music. Jeff was such a talent, and this drummer is phenomenal.

@@moparedtn It's not an easy shuffle , but let's not exaggerate , it's still just a straightforward shuffle with ghost notes. Lots of way more difficult drum parts around.

I must have listened to this at least 20 times. I find another part of the “LLB Formula” every time! From Ryan nailing the Rosanna Shuffle to Vandee dropping the bass bombs. I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more LLB!
