The Lexus will always smoke the Camry because the gearing is completely different in the Lexus which gives it much more power. Both are awesome cars though!

@@Elemental1331 how I'm I incorrect? that camry is a 6th generation year 2007-2011 all these years have the exact same design. the lexus is a second generation year 2006-2012 all these years have the same design as well.

Numbers are similar but the lexus is much faster than the camry I have owned both cars lexus leaves the v6 camry every time

Exactly 💯 Speed is not always base on just Engine alone, Lexus is built for speed and stability... Same engine but better Aerodynamic on Lexus... And I believe there is a little twist in the Lexus that Toyota made to make it a bit faster

Aren't they basically the same car? Toyota Altezza = IS300 Toyota camry = ES350 Toyota Aristo = GS 350

the tune on the lexus is slightly different then the toyota v6 camary.

The Altezza and Aristo are exactly the same as their Lexus counterparts but the ES and Camry are just built on the Same platform using different body panels. Their similarities are in the drivetrain and mechanical components, but everything else is specific to either car. The ES used to be called the Toyota Windom in Japan but they introduced it as the Lexus ES350 for this generation so that model was dropped. It’s kinda the same, like how the GS350 is kind of like the Toyota Crown, but they’re not the same car. The ES and Camry are their own cars, but the Altezza and IS are the same exact cars with different names.

Nah, Camry v6 and Lexus ES350 are not same... Same engine and drivetrain doesn't make a car the same... Lexus ES 350 will always dump the Camry V6 of same age any day... I think the components and Aerodynamic play some part here too, not sure but I have owned Camry twice, and currently own a Lexus es... Damm Lexus is on top of the league as compared to Camry v6.

If that camry had the 6 speed transmission, it would’ve EASILY won. The camry it lighter, and had stiffer suspension, which equals better take off and handling at higher speeds.
