This system was designed to be clean, classy and have great SQ (ask those who have heard it)....but it gets down too. Not an SPL machine by any means, but it does flex the car pretty good for 1 15" Subwoofer :D

i don't post a lot of video's on this ride because it is alot more SQ than it is SPL (so it's less exciting). I have a little extra on the low end with a controller for times of need but for the most part my system sounds like a studio in the driver seat. "SPL" is more "Exciting" Then again there is nothing like the way "SQ" rips through fast bass lines crisp and clean.

Damn!!!!! That's bad ass. Love that lexus. Hope to see a 12 inch version in the future. Slowly building my set up on my 02 buick park avenue Ultra. Also a grandpa car lol! Got a Mike Singer 320 amp alt so far not installed yet though and I just got some 4/0 gauge ofc for my build i figured would work on my electrical first then sound deadening and speaker wiring and once im done with all that it will be time for me to pick out my speakers, amps and subs of choice.

I love that you and your son have bonding time building these monsters. But i have a question, why didn't he want to drive and/or have the civic?? it sounds way better and has way more spl and sql??? You have always been an idol when it comes to car audio, steve. Your videos of the Fi BTLs got me started in car audio, now i have the loudest system in my town :)

Steve, I know that you always post the distortion disclaimer in every video but I can't help but to think there are some bumps and rattles when you have that much power. I just know that I have tried very hard to rid of rattles in my (much, much weaker) systems and have never been able to make them totally rattle free. But then again, they're in mid 2000 American made interiors, not in a nice Lexus like yours.

Adam Fields i don't do the biggest numbers with this system, mainly due to the seat blocking a lot of output.....but i know this, 2 SMD 15's might tear my Lexus up LOL. Just the one alone has me worried about my sunroof and the metal around it. It flexes kinda hard there.

My 2 JL's have messed up my sunroof in my 04 impala. And I have 2 JL w6v3 10's. Can't imagine 2 smd 15's... Lol. I have to invest in some second skin. It vibrates so much up there.

I have a custom box I made to fit my trunk. There's only like half and inch between the top of the box & the bottom of the 6x9's. & a 2000 watt autotek super sport. It's from a friend he bought a few years ago. I have it facing in the cabin. I've always like subs facing that way. Plus the trunk vibrates too much when they face it.

You know what some car manufacture are attempting to make it illegal to change the any electrical systems within your car. This is something that they are lobbing for because a lot of GM cars are catching on fire. due to electrical issues that is not the fault of the people that own the car but GM is stating that it is the owners fault in most of these fires. They haven't truly been punished for it yet their stock tends to continue to go up which does not make any sense to me. Well; if it does pass which is most likely to happen I wonder if this would apply only to new cars verse old or will it be a new inspection place on each individual every year to confirm no modifications have been done on the car. Will they also make it to where fabricators have to be licensed to do mods to the electrical system within the car. It is all just to keep people bringing their "owned" cars to the dealers instead of going to a place that is cheaper and licensed by the state. Now you have to have a special license to work on cars audio or to do anything that may be a part of the cars electrical system.

Just sating that I am against the idea but the powers that make shit happen are attempting to fuck us all over when modding shit we already own. I have a new car that I am modding so I am not sure if they will place it into an active law from the date signed or will they screw us all over with fines for modding our own stuff. Just giving a heads up to look out for that if they put it up for a vote. Because you know the only ones that do vote in the majority are the old and they hate noise.
