Yamaha has produced a ton of yota engines. The 400 and 430 being examples.

@@sidefx996 when it came out it was overshadowed by the GTR and other supercars. Nobody thought it was worthy of the status and the sales numbers show it. People are starting to appreciate what the engineers at Toyota set out to accomplish with the LFA, which was the driving experience

@@kenxiong6830 Do think the fact that the GTR outperformed it for a quarter of the price had a little something to do with that? Nevermind after you throw a few bucks at one... It's just like the new NSX. It's an awesome car that's beautiful and is a technological showcase for it's manufacturer but neither performed any better than anything else in it's price range. They weren't made and didn't sell in larger numbers for, well, many reasons. I mean, think of what ELSE you could've bought with $400k back in 2012...Without even looking it up I'm pretty sure Honda and Toyota TOOK A BATH designing and actually building the NSX and the LFA. Yes it's a very special car and yes it sounds cool but when a car gets outperformed the "driving experience" thing kinda becomes like saying an ugly girl has a great personality. I think it was always "appreciated" for what it was. The only reason to pay what they're getting for one now is to be "different" and because the car is so rare, because, at least where I live, I see about 10 Lambos a day.

In 2013 I got a is350 and the dealership had a red lfa sitting on the showroom and they said that it had been sitting there for 2 yrs brand new that nobody wanted to get it because of the price and they had a big discount on it they was asking 260k I think msrp was like 350k and now they’re selling for a million dollars a 10 yr old car thats crazy
