That engine is a two stroke diesel engine, they do not have an intake valve to suck in air for combustion but uses a blower that creates overpressure just above atmospheric pressure to push air into the cylinder. It also helps venting the cylinder during the exhaust phase.

I’ve got a 2005 derbi senda drd 125 with a Yamaha 125 engine in it, it’s like 95% all there but it just wants building back up. It’s in a rolling state and has everything else in a bag that needs to go back on it think it just wants a seat and back plastic, Speedo, headlight and back brake calliper if I remember correctly but it’s just been sat there for 4 years ‘cause I never got round to doing it up

James be careful mate, that truck should be able to pass an mot every day it’s on the road , whoever has been signing your 6 weekly inspections off on that vehicle would be for the high jump if you got pulled over by DSA , especially with the weight it’s carrying, you must already know all of this……. All I’m saying is,is be careful buddy ……..

Yamaha didn't do a DTR 125 as a 4 stroke they only did it as a 2 smoker

Benelli were an Italian bike brand and were up there with the likes of Ducati & Aprilia, they were sold off to a Chinese company a few years ago though so they're nowhere near as good as the older bikes now! Problem with the newer 4 stroke 125's is they're all gutless and sound like a wet fart while struggling to get any speed out of them. I still say get an older 2 stroke!
