And this isn't even his band. He was in the audience and was asked to come up as a guest and do a song and this is what happened. I was total improvisation. Phenomenal talent. He doesn't have a bad song. I would watch every song of his that you do.

I have to agree with you on Sometimes I Cry and I was Wrong are both awesome brings goosebumbs and chills down your spine. I will also have to throw in chris stapleton and Justin timberlake cma performance this has some much energy behide it. I Watch it several times and everytime I watch, it make me get up and move. Dance, Sing, whatever, it make you feel good.

Chris Stapleton also did an amazing cover of Aretha Franklin’s “Do right woman do right man” in honor of Aretha after she passed, and it’s extremely good as well; I’d highly recommend you check it out.

It is hard to believe he used to write songs for others bc he didn't have confidence in his singing. He amassed credits writing and co-writing over 170 songs. He has co-written six number-one country songs including Kenny Chesney's five-week number-one "Never Wanted Nothing More", Josh Turner's "Your Man", George Strait's "Love's Gonna Make It Alright", and Luke Bryan's "Drink a Beer". His songs have appeared on many artists albums including Adele, Brad Paisley, and Dierks Bentley. He has co-written with several artists as well including Vince Gill, Peter Frampton, Sheryl Crow and Ed Sheeran. Thank God his wife convinced him to quit writing for other people and to start a solo career. By far the best singer out today and is right up there with the greats of the past!

If you haven't heard him with "The Steeldrivers" you should check them out he was on their second album "Reckless" in 2010. "Ghosts of Mississippi" is my personal pick and his song "Barely Alive" is listed as "The Jompson Brothers" on Pandora so i assume that's another band he was in.

I am so glad you did this. I was one of many that ask for this song. everytime I hear this man sing, I'm amazed by his voice. Love how you have incorporated rock, hip-hop, and country in your reaction. Just keep giving us move flavor. He also did a tribute to prince song Nothing compares 2 U. Wish you'd watch some of his others.. MUST "I was wrong", the audio of "Death Row", and only official video so far "Fire Away". if you watch these 4 clips you'll get tons of views.. everyone wants to see more of Chris. This was so lucky to see because it was someone in the audience clip.. Chris was just asked to come up by the band... Wish you'd redo the T. Whiskey but do the live version.. much better live.

I’m sure somebody already told you, but that was not his band. It was an improv performance with a band that was playing. Watch the band’s reaction when he starts singing and they are all applauding when the song ends. Oh, his wife is white. She’s his backup vocals on most of his songs.

Also, Justin Timberlake's & Chris Stapleton's performance of "Tennessee Whiskey"/"Drink You Away" at the 2015 CMA awards is absolutely one of the best live performances I've EVER SEEN (& I've been around for a VERY long time!)
