@@reducecotwo Well, Brian has given us 40+ more years of AC/DC and Bon was the one who planted the seed in Angus and Malcom's head about Brian. Bon saw him singing with his band Gordie in a club one night and was so impressed, he told the brothers about Brian and jokingly said "If anything ever happens to me, he's the guy for the job"... Then Bon accidentally drank himself to death just a few years later. I'd say that's fate and that Brian was meant to be their lead singer....

Angus Young is one of the most iconic and most influential guitar players on the planet. I was at this tour and he did a 30 minute guitar solo raised up on a scissor lift in the middle of the arena. Every time he would start to stop the crowd went crazy so he kept playing. Brian Johnson rode a bell and was lifted off the stage while singing and that giant Rosie float was in all its glory. They even had a cannon salute. Still to this day one of my top 3 shows I've ever seen in my life.

There's a few different stories about the uniform. One I've heard is that the original lead singer (Dave Evans, NOT Bon Scott) was a big Slade fan and wanted all the members of the band to have a different, unique outfit (like Slade did in their heyday). Angus' schoolboy outfit is the only one that survived Evans being fired.

I must be insane because I’ve been listening to rock all my life! I’m 61 now, and this rocker chick will keep rocking till the day I die! Nothing beats a live rock concert- being there, the energy is amazing- from the band AND the audience! Going to ask again- Blackbird by Alter Bridge! Is LFR Family your dad? If so, he’s already reacted to it, and he was BLOWN AWAY! So if you want another great Alter Bridge song, from a live concert, you have to see Words Darker Than Their Wings by Alter Bridge, the video, Live from Royal Albert Hall. The note he hits at the end will give you goosebumps on top of goosebumps! I recommend the live version so you can see he can actually hit that note live, and it’s just not recorded “studio magic”. Keep up the great work- love what you do! 🤘🏼🤘🏼❤️

I dont remember the exact number, but she told him, "I've slept with 16 famous people." Bon went home with her. The next morning when he woke up, she looked at him and said, "17." So, he wrote a song about the experience.

Playing like Angus or Jimmi Hendrix is a great life goal. Remember that they were self taught and they literally played until their fingers were bleeding as part of that process. To answer your question, we grew up under the shadows of nuclear mushrooms that hadn't gone up yet. We knew we were 30 minutes away from pasturized planet, and some of us went insane, but most of us nodded, excepted and moved on with trying to enjoy life and the world around us. We didn't obsess over little crap, and we stopped being scared because those megatons of temper tantrum weren't personal, but they could be here about as fast as a pizza. And at that point, well, the lucky would be vaporized before they saw the flash. The kinda lucky would be negative photos burned against a wall. The ones you're still envous of would feel the pain, then get crushed by the overpressure. The people who didn't have it too bad would run out of air in the rubble in half an hour or so. And the ones who lived... we weren't going to be jealous of those unfortunate bastards.

I started going to concerts when I was your age. My first was Stevie Ray Vaughan. I’ve been to bunches and yes, they are that good. They’re that good because for the most part, those people who fill stadiums have played since they were young. Every day for hours. They played small clubs. They toured months at a time. They recorded to tape and you had to learn a song until it was muscle memory. No different than a basketball player shooting hoops every day until it got too dark to see. It takes practice, dedication and heart. There are a couple of bands on my bucket list and I’d take a second mortgage to go see them. It’s that good.

The simplified story behind the doll: They passed out drunk back in the 70’s and the (then) lead singer Bon Scott woke up with a doll named Rosie on him and in his face. They then wrote this song.

Not entirely true. Bon and Malcolm were treated to some food by some 'fans' one night, and in return for the food and hospitality apparently one of the girls (called Rosie) wanted something more from Bon. There's interviews where Malcolm tells the story & that's where the song comes from.

@@RobGalley true! Rosie, a groupie with big bobs, had all night long with few members of acdc (Bon, Malcolm an Phil for sure) so Bon decided to write the song

Great job JoJo! I wish you could experience a rock concert. I am lucky enough to grow up in the time where concerts were a monthly thing, and bands like AC/DC were out touring and kicking butt at every show. The only way to describe a rock concert is Energy thru it all. And when you go see a band like AC/DC, and the next day your ears are ringing and your voice is gone from chanting “Angus” all night, it was all worth it! I am so glad you can appreciate greatness like this band. We look forward to more of your honesty.

Dude your reaction to the blow up doll was great lol I had the same reaction the first time I ever saw a video of it! I've never seen AC/DC live but a good friend of mine, who actually got me into them back in middle school, saw them back in 2008 and said they really know how to put on a SHOW. The crazy things like this that they do are what make them so unique. They're a bunch of guys having the time of their lives on stage putting every ounce of energy they have into the music and getting the crowd so into it. I really respect that about them. I've only become a bigger fan of them over the years. Their latest album, Power Up, is excellent. The song they initially released from it, Shot in the Dark, is a really catchy song and one of my favorites off the album. Check it out if you haven't! Their 2008 album, Black Ice, is also another newer album absolutely worth checking out. The first track off that album, Rock N Roll Train, is probably my favorite off that album and one that they played live at this show in River Plate.

What kind of childhood did y'all have? Man, the 70's was just a rockin' ass fine time. The best music ever. Party time. Smokin' and drinklin' around the camp fires, with friends, and people you didn't even know, outdoor concerts, inside concerts, man I miss the 70's. At my age I wouldn't be able to hang anymore, BUT THE MEMORIES, I still got 'em. I remember when...............

"Rosie" was a apparently real person, a Tasmanian groupie that Bon Scott spent a night with once. If this wiki article is to be believed, Scott actually *understated* her weight in the song: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whole_Lotta_Rosie

Angus Young is 66 years old and their concerts are between 2 and 3 hours long. And Angus has that energy throughout the entire show. People have always gone to an Ac/Dc concert to see him play live!!! One of the most energizing experiences of a lifetime! He usually loses about 10 pounds per show. Find an AcDc guitar solo.

You got it, there is nothing better than a rock concert. While there are a lot of good acts out there anyone with a decent voice and rythymn can go out and sing and dance to piped in music. It takes true talent to play the instruments while putting on a hell of a show

Me too! Lol I just commented how purple and green microdot, and four way window pane were abundant, everyone passing j’s around on the floor next to the speakers ... those were the days! AC/DC is my all time favorite. A while back some critic made the comment that AC/DC had 12 albums that all sounded the same. Angus heard about it and was upset. He snapped back that “they didn’t have 12 albums that sounded the same. It was 13!” Not sure if that really happened but it sounds good! Cheers!
