@@drewwhisenhunt8499 It's always better to use waterproofing adhesive like the one they come with from the factory. It's not that expensive or difficult to apply either. That double tape or double sided adhesive would never let the phone to be as tightly packed and I think it can even damage the phone in some cases if the phone is dropped for example. It won't be that solid. Feeling me?

honestly what do you need waterproofing for anyway? Sure it´s a nice thing to start with, but how often do you shower with your phone or go for a swim? and do you actually need that?!?!

Thats what I'm saying; this whole water proofing thing is BS made up by the manufactures to sell you sealed phones so you have to pay them to replace your battery. I'v had cell phones since 1999 and never found a situation where I was like "Oh shit to bad this isn't water proof" SMH.

I never needed my phone to be waterproof. I never ever dropped my phone in a body of water. And when it isn't waterproof, it will survive in the rain if you happen to have it out and get a few drops on it. Like NotALibertard rightfully said, waterproof bullshit is just a marketing gimmick. 95% of people don't need waterproof phones, they just use that as an excuse to seal your phone making it harder to do your own repairs.

That's interesting way to look at, however there has been situationa where I've lost valuable object in the water. If this phone was waterproof perhaps may be able to recuperate rather than going out of your way to find goggles and riaking of ever finding it. Now what I found out is that this phone is 100% water resistant. But it isn't water proof . with that being said, will have to dry it really good the phone after exposure. Also may not resist salt or clorine mixture H2o. Theres a promotional video where T-Mobile open box and turns on lg g6 while surround it with sharks at a shark cage. DONT BELIEVE IT.. Due to that comercial (bad advertisement) I had a hard time to get a new phone. Until they comply.

Damalia Marsi Actually, holding in the power button for 10 sec usually work even if phone is completely jammed. Just like on a computer. You will have a hard time finding any modern high-end phone with removable battery

Damalia Marsi I have had phones lock up on me since the Nokia 3310. The difference back in those days was that there were no hard shut downs by holding the power button. The removal of battery was the only way to go. But sure, there are those really rare cases when a hard shut down wont help, and removal of all power is the only option, but I have yet to experience that with a modern mobile device of any kind. If that happens to you often, you must be doing something wrong.

Lack of a battery still makes a phone a disposable piece of crap. At the very least you have to spend hundreds to ship the phone to a service center and get the battery replaced, or even worse you don't have an extra battery when you need one. I have a 10,000mah battery and I still need to swap it periodically. A phone with a welded in battery is just so much throw away garbage. Wastes space in land fills and causes people to have to replace it every two years or less. LION batteries last about 500 full charge discharge cycles before 80% power, and with all phones needing almost two charges per day or during the day that means those 500 cycles are gone in 1.3 to 2.2 years. I keep all my phones at least 7 years, and go through five or more batteries. i don't throw a phone away until it fails or can no longer function. Welded in batteries are just cell phone makers ways to get you to waste 800 dollars or more on a new one every two years or less. Really it is a scam.
